<br /> An Ordinance directing and autharizing the sale of the real estate descr_ibed as Lot Three (3), Block Fourteen (14),
<br />°` Fairview Park Addition, an addition to the City of Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska, belonging to the City of Grand
<br />�`•-� �,,,� Island, Nebraska, to Joseph Horacek and rierlyn C. Hora.cek, husband and wife of said city; providing for the giving of
<br /> notice of the sale of such real estate and giving the terms of such sale; and, providing for the right to file a
<br /> remonstrance against the sale thereof.
<br /> BE IT ORDAINFD BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAr'D ISLAND, NEBRASKA;
<br /> SECTION l. That the sale of the real estate descri.bed as Lot Three (3), Block Fourteen (14), Fairview Park
<br /> Addition, an addition to the City of Grand Isl.and, Ha11 County, Nebraska, belonging to the City of Grand Island,
<br /> - � Nebraska, to Joseph Horacek and Merlyn C. Horacek, husband and wife, be and the same is hereby directed, authorized
<br /> and confirmed.

<br /> SECTIOh 2. The manner and terms of said sale of sueh real estate are as follows: The purchasers have agreed to
<br /> pa.y the sum of Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250.00) for the wi.thin described real estate and have paid the sum of
<br /> `" � � Thirty-seven llollars and Fifty Cents ($37.50) as a down payment thereon; Two Hundred Twelve Dollars and Fifty Cents
<br /> ($212.SQ) will be paid in full upon delivery of a Quit Clai.m Deed by the City to the purchasers. The City of Grand
<br /> - Island shall not be required to furnish an Abstract of Title and the buyers agree to pay the taxes for the years of
<br /> 1948 and 1949 and further assume and agree to pay all unpaid special assessments now of record.
<br /> SECTION 3. As provided by law, notice of such sale and the terms thereof shall be published for three consecutive I
<br /> weeks in the Grand Island Daily Independent, a newspaper published in and of general circulation in the City of Grand '
<br /> Island, Nebraska, imo�ediately after the passage and publication of this ordinance; and the City Clerk is hereby directed
<br /> and instructed to prepare and publish said notice.
<br /> : SECTION 4. Authority is hereby granted to the electors of the Ci.ty of Grand Islan.d, Nebraska, to file a remonstrance
<br /> agai.nst the sale of the within described real estate; and if a remonstrance against the sale si.gned by legal electors of
<br /> sai_d City equal in number to thirty per cent (30/) of the electors of the City of Grand Island, voting at the last
<br /> regular election held in said City be filed with the City Counci.l within thirty days after the passage and publication of
<br /> this ordinance, such property shall not then, nor within one year thereafter be sold.
<br /> SECTION 5. The sale of said real estate is hereby directed, authorized and confirmed; and if no remonstrance be
<br /> filed against such sale, the President of the City Council and City Clerk shall make, execute and deliver to Joseph
<br /> Horacek and Merlyn C. Horacek, husband and wife, a Quit Clai.m Deed for said property and the execution of said deed is
<br /> hereby authorized without further action on behalf of the City Council.
<br /> SECTION 6. This ordinance shall be in force and take effect from and after its passage, approval and publication
<br /> as provided by law.
