<br /> An ordinance authorizing and directing the sale of certain real estate belonging to the City
<br /> of (�rand Island, Nebraska, providing for the �nner in which the same shall be sold and the terms of
<br /> said sale; providing f'or �he giving of notice of the sale of said real estate and the terms thereof;
<br /> and, providit�g for the right to file a remonstrance against the sale thereof signed by legal
<br /> electors of' the City of Grand Island, Nebraska, equal in number to thirty per cent (j0�) of the
<br /> electors of said City, voting at the last regular municipal election held in said City.
<br /> BE IT ORDAINED ��Y THE MAYOR A��D CITY COUNCIL of the �ity of (�rand Island, Nebraska:
<br /> SECTION �.. The sale and conveyance of real estate hereinafter described is hereby directed
<br /> and authorized to Earle C.Grimminger oP the City of Grand Island, Nebraska.
<br /> The property directed and authprized to be conveyed is described as f ollows:
<br /> The North Fqr'�y-four ( N. 44) Feet of Lots One and Two (1 and 2) , Block sixteen (16) ,
<br /> 3chimmer 's �iddition to the City of Grand Island, Nebraska.
<br /> SECTION 2. `�he manner and terms of suc�i sale of said real estate are as follows: The purchaser,
<br /> Earle C.Grimrninger will purchase said real esta.te and pay therefore the tot�l sum of One Hundred
<br /> and Fifty (�150.C�0� Dollars, and will pay the total amount of said purchase price when the City
<br /> of Grand Island, Nebraska execu�es and deliver � to the said purchaser a Quit Claim Deed for the
<br /> within described real estate; �nd the City shal� not be required to furnish to the purchas�r an
<br /> Abstract of Tit1e.
<br /> SECTION. 3. As provided by law, notice of such 8ale and the terms tnereof shall be published
<br /> for three con�ecutive weeks in the Grand Island Daily Independent, a newspaper published in and
<br /> of �eneral circulation in the City of Grand Island, Nebraska, immediately after the passage and
<br /> publication of this ordinance; and the City Clerk is hereby directed and instructed to prepare
<br /> and publish said notice.
<br /> SECTION �F. Authority is hereby granted to the electors of the City of arand Island, Nebraska,
<br /> to file a remonstrance against the sa�e of said real estate; and if a remonstrance against said
<br /> sale signed by legal electors of said City equal in number to thirty per cent (30�) of the electors
<br /> of said City voting at trie last regular municipal election held in said City be filed with the
<br /> Ma,yor and Council of said City within thirty days of the passage and publication of this ordinance,
<br /> said property shall not then, nor within one year �hereafter be sold.
<br /> SECTION 5. The �ale of said rea.l estat� is hereby directed, authorized and confirmed; and iP no
<br /> remonstrance be filed �.�ainst such sale, the Mayor and City Clerk shall, make, execute and del.iver
<br /> to the said Earle C. Grimmin��r, a Quit Claim Deed for said property and the execution oP said deed
<br /> is hereby authorized without further action on behalf oP the City Council.
<br /> SECTION 6. �'his ordinarice s��a.11 be in force and take ePfect from and after ita passage, approval
<br /> and publication as provided by law.
