<br /> Whereas, the said Ra1ph E. Murphy and Earle G. Johnson have .of�'ered to pay the City of Grand
<br /> Isla.nd the sum of Five Hundred (�500.00) Do1la.rs for that �art of said Jefferson $treet �o vacated,
<br /> NoVr, Therefore, Be It Ordained by the Ma,yor and City Council of the City of Grand Island, Nebraska;
<br /> Section l. That that part of Jefferson -Strset lying north of the north property line of Division
<br /> S�reet, running thence north f or a dista.nce of one hundred thirty-two (132) fee� to the a11ey, also
<br /> knotrTn as the east one-half (E�) of Lot C, Elm Place Addition to the City of Grand Island, Hall County,
<br /> Nebraska, (being 132 fe�t in length by �0 feet in width) be and the same is hereby vacated.
<br /> Section 2. That t�ie sale of t7��at ?�art of said Jefferson Street described in Section 1 of this
<br /> ordinance be and the same is hereby authorized, directed, and confirmed to Ra1.ph E. Murphy, and
<br /> Earle G. Johnson of the City of Grand Island, Nebraska.
<br /> Section 3. The terr�s of the sale of that part of said s�reet so vacated are aa followa: The
<br /> purchasers, Ralph E. Murphy and Earle G. Johnson have agreed to pay therefore the total sum of
<br /> Fiv� Hundred (�500.00) Dol�ars, and have further agreed to pay alI costs in connection with the
<br /> P
<br /> ublication of this ordinance and any and. �.�_ other costs in connection with the sale and eonveyanez.�r
<br /> of said real estate. The City shall not be required to furnish an Abstract of Title.
<br /> Section �F. As provided by Iavr, notice of such sa�e and the terms thereof' shall be published
<br /> for three eonsecutive t�reeks in �he Grand Island Daily Tnde�enden�, a newspaper publiahed in and of
<br /> general circulation in the City of Grand Island, Nebraska, immediately after 'Ghe �assage and publi-
<br />' cation of - this ordinance; and the City Clerk is hereby directed and instructed to prepare and publiah
<br /> said notice.
<br /> Section 5. Authority i;s hereby granted to the electors of the Ci�y of Grand Island, Nebraska,
<br /> to file a remonatrance against the sale of the within described real estate; and if a remonstrance
<br /> a ainst such sale signed by legal electora of said City equal in number to �hirty per cent (30�)
<br /> o� the ele�tors of the City of Grand Island, votin� at the last regu�ar election held in said �ity
<br /> be filed ti,rith �he Mayor and City Counc�l within thirty days af�er the passa�e and publieation of

<br /> Section 6. The sale of said real e�tate is hereby directed, authorized and confirmed; and if no
<br /> rer_-_onstrance be filed against stzch sa1e, tk�e Mayor and City Clerk �hall make, execute and deliver to
<br /> Ralph E. Murphy and Eaxle G. Johnson, a Quit Claim Deed for said property and the execution of sa3.d
<br />, Deed is hereby authorized without further action on behalf of the City Council.
<br /> Section 7. Tha.s ordinance shall be in force and take effeet from and after its passage, approval
