<br />REAL ESTATE LIEN
<br />WHEREAS Minnis Y. Defreece ,_ _____~_, ~~
<br />(hereinafter usually referred to as "Hameow~tier", e~hcther one or more} have
<br />entered into a certain written HOUSING REHABILITATION GRANT AGREEMENT dated
<br />the 28th day of .Tanuarv 19 81 with the City of Grand Island,
<br />Nebraska, a municipal corporation (hereinafter usually referred to as "City"),
<br />}a. acting through its Community Development Agency, for rehabilitation of a
<br />d~Iling on premises owned by Hcmieowaer which are hereinafter descried; and
<br />L:3 for the granting by City to Homeowner of Federzl funds in the amount of
<br />~ Ten Thousand------------------------------Dollars ($ 10,000.00 ) to be
<br />applied in payment of the cost of-such rehabilitation, and

<br />WHERE.SS, Homeowner in-such AGREEMENT has, among other things,~agreed (a}
<br />to repay such amount or, as the case may be; a part thereof to City in certain
<br />r.,q circumstances described in the AGREEMENT, and (b} to execute and deliver to
<br />Q(1 City an instrument in recordable form granting to City a lien on the premises
<br />to secure such repayment,
<br />` NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of such AGREEMENT with City,
<br />Minnie Y. Defreece husband and wife {hereinabove and herein-
<br />below referred to as "3lorneowner"), do hereby grant to CITY OF GRAND ISLAND,
<br />NEBRASKA, a Municipal Corporation,. its successors and assigns, a lien upon the
<br />~ following described real estate situated in Hall County, Nebraska:
<br />Lot Eight (8), Black Seven (r), in George
<br />Loan's Subdivision
<br />an addition to the City of Grand Island,
<br />Nebraska, according to the recorded plat
<br />thereof,
<br />to secure repayment to the Gity of C;rand Island, iebraska, its successors and
<br />assigns, of the amount of the grant hereinabove referred to or, as the case
<br />may be, a part thereof in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth
<br />in the HOUSING REHABILITATION GRANT AGREEMENT to which reference is made herein-
<br />above.
<br />The lien herein granted shall run with the premises and shall also bind
<br />the successors and assi~nts and, except as provided in such AGREEMENT, the
<br />personal representatives, heirs, devisees and legatees of Homeowner.
