<br />- ._ <br />ORDINANCE No. 6529 <br />An ordinance to extend theboundaries and include within the corporate limits <br />' of and to annex to the City of Grand Island, Nebraska, certain contiguous and <br />adjacent tracts of Iand and streets and highways in the Southeast Quarter (SEA,} of <br />' Section Twenty-nine (24), Township Eleven (11) North, Range Nine. (9) West of the <br />bth Y.M„ in Ha11~Covnty, Nebraska; to provide for service benefits thereto; to <br />provide sevetability; and to confirm the zoning classification thereof. <br />BE IT-ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GR4ND ISLAND, NEBRASitA: <br />SECTION 1. It is herehy found and determined-by such City Council that: <br />(a) The tract of land and streets and highways in the Southeast <br />Quarter (S£i) of Section Twenty-nine (29), Township Eleven (I1} North, <br />- Range Nine (9) West of the 6th P.M., in Hall County, Nebraska, as herein- <br />- - inafter more particularly described, are urban and suburban in character <br />and cantiguous and adjacent to the corporate limits of such City and as <br />urban and suburban in character are not agricultural land rural in <br />Clia raCCCr; <br />(b} Police, fire, and snow removal benefits arc available thereto, <br />_ ~~ n ~ and sanitary sever and public water service will be available as provided <br />- i o ~ z by law; . <br />w n_ <br />`~ (c) 1'he zoning classification of such tract of land as shown on the <br />a o <br />0 <br />- ~~ ! ` 4 official inning map of the City of Grand Island, Nebraska, is hereby <br />w <br />~ (- ~ confirmed; <br />i <br />' (d) There is a unity of interest in the use of such tract of land <br />- and highvays with t`-~.e use of lots, lands, streets, and highvays in the City, <br />and the camWunity canvenierce and welfare and the interest of such City <br />will be enhanced tE:raugh incorporating such lands and streets and high- <br />vays within the corporate limits of such City. <br />SECTION 2. That the boundaries of the City of Crand Island, Nebraska, be, and <br />hereby are, extended co include within the corporate limits of such City the con- <br />' Llguous and adjacent [tact of land and streets and highways in the Southeast Quarter <br />(SEA) of Section Twenty-nine Q4), Township Elcycn (11) North, Range Nine (9) West <br />of the 6th Y.M., in ball County, Nebraska, more particularly described as follows: <br />Beginning at the Southeast Corner of OLde Mill Subdivision, this <br />- point also being on the East line of the .Southeast Quarter (SE ,) <br />- -- - of said Section Twenty-i:ino {24): thence ruaninR Sauth of the Fast <br />line of the Southeast Quarter (5E ) of Section IWenty-nine (l4) tq <br />the North right.-af-way line of U.S, Highway ivo. 34; thence running <br />- ~ West on the North right-of-way line of U.S. Flighway No. 34 to a point <br />thlrty-three (33) feet West of the West line of Riverside Farms Sacand <br />i <br />. <..~.., ..- 1- <br />
