'` .tai ORDINANCE N0. 6550 An ordinance creating Street Improvement District No. 496; defining the boundaries of the distzict; providing for the improvement of streets within the district by paving, guttering and all incidental work in connection therewith; and to provide for an effective date of this ordinance. BE iT ORDAINED BY THE ALSYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA: SECTION 1. Street Improvement District No. 996 in the City of Grand Island, Nebraska, is hereby created. SECTION 2. Tile boundaries of the district shall be as follows: Beginning at a paint oa the East line of Lot 8, Norwood Subdivision, said point being 300 feet North of the North line of 14th Street; I ~ thence running South on the East line of said Lot 8 and the South prolongation of the East line of said Lot 8 for a distance of 492 I~ feet; thence running West on a line parallel to and 132 feet South o m `~' of the South line of 14th Street for a distance of 1,351.2 feet to 'p p? ~ the West line of St. Paul Road; thence running North on the West line .-a of St. Paul Road for a distance of 305 feet; thence running East on M w a line parallel to and 113 feet North of the North line of 14th ~ p Street for a distance of 865 feet to the West line of Lot &-, Norwood tea ~ Subdivision; thence running North on the West line of said Lot 8 for ' ~ a distance of 187 feet; thence running East on a line parallel to and ,, I ~ ( 300 feet North of the North line of 14th Street for a distance of i 486.2 feet to a ppoint on Che East line of said Lot 8, being the point of beginning, all as shown on the plat marked Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. SECTION 3. The following streets in the distzict shall be improved by paving, curbing, guttering, and all incidental work in connection therewith: Fourteenth Street from St. Paul Road East to the City Limits. Said improvements shall be made in accordance with plena and specifications prepared by the Engineer #or the City and approved by the Mayor and Council. ,' SECTION 4. The improvements shall be made at public Bost. but the eost thereof, exeluding intexsectians, shall be assessed upon the late and sands in _,' the district specially benefited-_therebyt a_s grQVided hy_law. SECTION 5, This ordinance shall be in force and take effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication, without the plat, as provided by law. SECTION 6. This ordinance, with the plat, is hereby directed to be filed in the office of the Register of Deeds, Hall County, Nebraska, SECTION 7. After passage, approval, and publication of this ordinance, notice of the creation of said diatricc shall be published in the Grand Island Daily Independent, a legal newspaper published and of general circulation in said City, as provided by law.
