<br />ORDINANCE N0. 6448
<br />An ordinance creating Street Improvement District No. 485; defining the boundaries of
<br />-the district; providing for the improvement of streets within the district by paving,
<br />guttering, and ali incidental work in connection therewith; and to provide for an effective
<br />date of this ordinance.
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY TtiE PfAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA:
<br />SECTION 1. Street Improvement District No..985 in the City of Grand Island, Nebraska,
<br />is hereby crested.
<br />• SECTION 2. The boundaries of the district shall be as follows:
<br />Beginning at a point on the westerly line of Broadwell Avenue and 59.5 feet,
<br />or 15.136 meters, North of the northerly line of 5i.xth Street; thence running,
<br />southerly on the westerly line of Broadwell Avenue for a distance of 59.5 feet,
<br />or 18.136 meters, to the northerly Line of Sixth Street; thence running easterly
<br />on the norti:eriy line of Sixth Strut ettar~dcd for a .,.~ -f 66`eet, ... 20.117
<br />meters, to the easterly line of Broadwell Avenue; thence running southerly^on the
<br />easterly line of Broadwell Avenue for a distance of 80 feet, or ZG.384 meters;
<br />I thence running westerly on the east prolonEacion of the southerly line of Sixth
<br />I Street for a distance of 66 feet, or 20.117 meters, to the westerly line of
<br />age w Broadwell Avenue; thence running southerly on the westerly line of $roadwell Avenue
<br />~ for a distance of 140 feet, or 42.672 motors; thence runninG westerly on a line
<br />o ~ ~ parallel to and 140 feet South of the southerly line of Sixth Street for a aistance

<br />~ ~ 0 85.142 meters, to a point 59.5 feet, or 18.136 meters, North of the northerly

<br />~ 18.136 meters, North of the northerly tine of Sixth Street for a distance of 280
<br />~ feet, or 85.344 meters, to the westerly line of Broadwell Avcnuc, being the point

<br />SECTION 3. The following street in the district shall be improved by paving, curbing,
<br />guttering, and all incidental work in connection therewith: -
<br />Sixth Street from Whine Avenue to Broadweli Avenue.
<br />Said improvements shall be made in accordance with plans and spec ificatians prepared by
<br />the Engineer for the City and apprcved by the Mayor and Council.
<br />SECTION 4. The improvements shall be made at public cost, but the cost thereof,
<br />excluding intersections, shall be assessed upon the lots and lands in the district specially
<br />beneficed thereby, as provided by law.
<br />SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in force and take effect from and after its passage,
<br />spproval, and publication, without the plat, as provided by law.
<br />SECTION 6. This ordinance, xith the plat, is hereby directed to be filed in the office
<br />• of the Register of Deeds, Hall County, Nebraska.
<br />SECTION 7. After passage, approval, and publication of this ordinance, notice of the
<br />~tzeation of said district shall be published in the Grand Island Daily Independet, a legal
<br />newspaper published and of general circulation in said Gity, as provided by law.
