<br />of any equipment or system such as initial swrt-up or
<br />testing, adjusting and balancing, preparation of operation
<br />and maintenance manuals, training personnel for opera-
<br />. lion artd maintenance, and consuRation during operation.
<br />t.3.t7 Providing services after issuance to the Owner of
<br />the final Certificate for Payment.
<br />],3.]8 Preparing to serve or serving as an expert witness
<br />in connection with any public hearin;{, arbitration pro-

<br />2.7 The Owner shall provide fait information, including
<br />a complete program, regarding his requirements for the
<br />Pro}est.
<br />z.2 The Osvner shall designate, when necessary, arep-
<br />resentative authorized to act in his beha(t wlt~ respect ro
<br />the Project The Owner shad examine documens seb-
<br />miued by the Architect and shall render decisions per-
<br />taining thereto promptly, to avoid unreasonable delay in
<br />the progress of the Architect's services.

<br />2.5 The Owner s!ra') furnish structural, mechanical,
<br />chemical and other hrburatory tests, inspections and re-
<br />ports as required by law or the Contract Documents.
<br />2.6 The Owner shat: famish such Iega1, accouming, and
<br />insurance counseling sen~ices as may be necessary for the
<br />Project, and such audrGng services as he may rrctuire to
<br />ascertain how or for v~hat purposes tltie Contractor has
<br />used the moneys paid to him under the Construction
<br />Contra Ct.
<br />2.7 The services, information, surveys and reports re-
<br />quireri by Paragraphs 2.3 through 2.G inclusive shall be
<br />furnished at the Owner's expense, and the Architect shall
<br />be entitled to rely upon the accuracy and completeness
<br />thereof.
<br />2.¢ If the Owner becomes aware of any fault or defect
<br />in the Project or non-conformance with the Contract
<br />Documents, he shall glue prompt written notice thereof
<br />to the Archie^ct.
<br />2.4 The Owner shad furnish information required of him
<br />as espeditious!y ..s necessary for the orderly progress of
<br />the l:'ork.
<br />ARTICLE 3
<br />CONSTRUC.TiON COST
<br />3.1 If the Construction Cast is to 6e used as the basis
<br />for determining the Architect's Compensation for Sasic
<br />Services, i; shall be the tutu( cast or esYmated Cost to
<br />the Uwner o' a!I Work designed or specified by the
<br />Architect. The Construction Cost shall be determined as
<br />follows, with precedence in the order listed'
<br />3.t.7 Fer comp;reed construction, the cost of all such
<br />Work, including coos of managing construction;
<br />3.7.2 For Work not constructed, tt) the lowest bona fide
<br />bid received from a qualified bidder for any or ail pf such
<br />Work, or (z) if the Work is not bid, the bona fide nego-
<br />:;ated proposal submitted for any or all of such Wprk; or
<br />3.7.3 For \work for which no such bid or proposal is
<br />received, ?') the latest Detailed Estimate of Consuuctipn
<br />Cost if ene is availab'e, er Q) the latest Statement of
<br />Probable Cnnstruc:Ian Cust.
<br />3.2 Construction Cost does not include the compensa-
<br />tion of the Architect one! his consultants, the cost of the
<br />;and, rights-uf-way, or other costs which. are the responsi-
<br />hi!ity of the Owner as provided in ?aragraphi 2.3 through
<br />2.G inclusive.
<br />3.3 The cost of la`+or, materials and cqu~pment furnished
<br />by the U,vr,er for the Project shat! be included in the
<br />Construction Cost at current market rates including a
<br />reuonaisle allowance for overhead and profit.
<br />3.a Statements of Probab:e Construction Cost and fle-
<br />ta:;ed Cost Fst~mates prepared by the Architect represent
<br />his best jur'gment as a design professional familiar with
<br />the costruct:;m industry. i; is recognized, however, that
