<br />ORDINANCE N0. 6407
<br />An ordinance creating Street Improvement District No. 971, defining the boundaries
<br />of the district, snd providing foY the improvement of a street within the district by
<br />paving, guttering, and all incidental work in connection therewith.
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA:
<br />SECTION i. Street Improvement Bistrict No. 971 in the City of Grand Island,
<br />Rebraska, is hereby created.
<br />SECTION 2. The boundaries of the District shall be as follows:
<br />Beginning at a point on the westerly line of Howard Avenue and 298 feet;
<br />ar 90.830 meters, north of the northerly line of Tenth Street; thence
<br />running southerly on the westerly line of Howard Street fort a distance
<br />of 644 feet, or 146-24~ meters, to a point 300 feet, or 41.440 meters,
<br />South of the southerly Line of Tenth Street; thence running westerly on
<br />a line parallel to and 300 feet, or 41.440 meters, South of the southerly
<br />line of Tenth Street for a distance of 914.5 feet, or 278.140 meters,
<br />to a point on the South prolangatior, of the easterly line of Hancock
<br />Avenue; thence running northerly on the South prolongation of the easterly

<br />a point 248=feet, or~90.830~meters~,~North of the northerly line of Tenth
<br />Street; thence running easterly on a line parallel to and 248 feet, or
<br />90.830 meters, North of the northerly tine of Tenth Street for a distance
<br />of 914.5 feet, or 278.40 meters, to the westerly line of Howard Avenue,
<br />being the point of beginning, all as shown on the plat marked Exhibit
<br />"A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
<br />SECTION 3. The following street in the district shall be improved by paving,
<br />curbing, guttering, and all incidental work in connection therewith:
<br />Teeth Street from the westerly line of Howard Avenue to the easterly
<br />line of Hancock Avenue.
<br />Said improvements shall be made in accordance with plans and specifications prepared by the
<br />Bagineez for the City and approved by the Mayor and Council.
<br />SECTION 4. '!'!:e improvements shall be made at public cost, but the cost thereof,
<br />ezcluding intersections, shall be assessed upon the lots and lands in the district specially
<br />benefited therebp, as provided by law.
<br />SSCtI0I6 5. This ordinance shall be in force and take effect from and after its
<br />passage, approval, and publication, without the pier, as provided by law.
<br />SECTION fi. This ordinance, with the plat, is hereby directed to be filed in the
<br />office of the Registered of Deeds, Nall County, Febraska.
<br />- SECSZOR 7. After passage, approval, and publication of this ordinance, aotiee
