<br />An ordinance creating Street Improvement District No. 981; defining the boundaries of
<br />the district; providing for the improvement of a street within the district by paving,
<br />curbing, guttering, and all incidental work in connection therewith; and to provide for an
<br />effective date of this ordinance.
<br />BE 2T ORDAZHED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA:
<br />' SECTION 1. Street Improvement District No. 981 in the City of Grand Island, Nebraska,
<br />is hereby created. -
<br />SECTION 2. The boundaries of the district shall be as follows:
<br />Beginning at a point on the easterly line of Carey Avenue and 150 feet, or
<br />45.720 meters, North of the northerly line of Fifth Street; thence running
<br />South oa the easterly line of Carey Street for a distance of 360 feet, or
<br />104.728 meters, to a point l50 feet, or 4b.720 meters, South of the southerly
<br />tine of Fifth Street; thence running westerly on a line parallel to and L50
<br />feet, or 45.720 meters, South of the southerly line of Fifth Street for a

<br />360 feet, or 104.328 meters, to a point 150 feet, or 45.720 meeers, North of
<br />the northerly tine of Fifth Street; thence running easterly on a line parallel
<br />to and 150 feet, or 45.720 meters, North of the northerly line of Fifth Street
<br />far a distance of 372 feet; or 113.386 meters, to a point on the easterly line
<br />of Carey Avenue, being the point of beginning, alt as shown on the plat marked
<br />ESchibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
<br />SECTION 3. The following street in the district shall be,improved by paving, curbing,
<br />guttering, and all incidental work in connection therewith.
<br />Fifth Street from Carey Avenue to Grace Avenue.
<br />.Said improvements shall be made in accordance with plans and spec ifieations prepared by
<br />the Engineer for the City and approved by the Mayor and Council.
<br />SECTION 4. The improvements shall be made at public cost, but the cost thereof,
<br />e8ciuatiag intersections, shall be assessed upon the lots and lands in the district specialty
<br />benefited thereby, as provided by Iaw.
<br />SECTION S. This ordinance shall be in force and take effect from and after its passage,
<br />approval, aad publscation, without the plat, as provided by lax.
<br />_ SECTION b. This ordinance, with the plat, is hereby directed to be filed ixe the office
<br />of the Register of Deeds, Hali County, Nebraska.
<br />SECTION 7. After passage, approval, and publication of this ordinance, notice of the
<br />creation of said districe shall be published in the Grand Island Daily Independent, a Iegal
<br />aersapaper published aad of general circulatian in said City, as provided by law.
