<br />1¢t ordinance creating Street Improvement District Ko. 978; defining the boundaries
<br />of the district; providing for the improvement of a street within the district by paving,
<br />etubfng, guttering, and a12 incidental work in connection therewith; and to provide for
<br />as affective date of this ordinance.
<br />BE ZT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA:
<br />SECTION 1. Street Improvement District No. 918 in the City of Grand Island, Nebraska,
<br />is hereby created.
<br />SECTION 2. The boundaries of the district shall be as follows:
<br />Beginning at the Northeast Corner of Houghkirk Subdivision; thence running
<br />southerly on the easterly line of said subdivision for a distance of 366.67
<br />f_et, or 11I.7b1 meters, to the Southeast Corner of said subdivision; thence
<br />running southeasterly for a distance of 175 feet, more or less, or 53.340
<br />meters, more or less, to a point on the northerly line of Twels"th Street,
<br />said point being 109.11 feet, or 33.251 meters, East of the easterly litte of

<br />~ ~ for a distancc3of~202.i1 feet, or 61.603 meters, to the easterly line of Old
<br />W o: ~ St. Paul Road; thence running southerly on the easterly line of SC. Paul
<br />p a~,rt ~ Read to the southerly line of Twelfth Street; thence running westerly on the
<br />~ 4a southerly line of Twelfth Street for a distance of 505.2 feet, or 153.985
<br />.i w meters, to a point an the North line of Lot 8, Capital Hill Addition, said
<br />~ o point being 20 feet, or 6.046 meters, East of the Northwest Corner of said
<br />Lot 8; thence running northerly on the westerly line of Houghkirk Subdivision
<br />for a distance of 849.7 feet, or 258.484 meters, to the Northwest Corner of
<br />w ~ said subdivision; thence running easterly on the northerly line of said
<br />'~ subdivision for a distance of 576.55 feet, or 175.732 meters, to the North-
<br />._ east Corner of said subdivision, being the point of beginning, all as shown
<br />on the plat marked Exhibit ^A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by
<br />reference.
<br />SECTION 3. The following street in the district shall ba improved by paving, curbing,
<br />guttering, and all incidental work in connection therewith:
<br />Yarren Lane from Twelfth Street to and around Garrert Lane cul-de-sac.
<br />Said improvements shall be made in accordance with plans and spec ifieations prepared by
<br />the Engineer for the City and approved bq the Mayor and Council.
<br />SECTION b. The improvements shall be made at public coat, brt the cost thereof,
<br />•acludiag incerseetians, shall he assessed upon the Iota and lands in the district specially
<br />bsaefited thereby, as provided by law,
<br />'SECTION 5. ?his ordinance shall he in force end take effect from and after its passage,
<br />apprOVai, and publication, without the plat, as provided by law.
<br />SECSIQN 6. This ordinance, with the plat, is hereby directed to be filed in the office
<br />of tb;e Register of Deeds, Hall County, Nebraska. '
<br />SECTION 7. After passage, approval, and publication of this ordinance, notice of the
<br />acption of said district sha12 be published in the Grand Island Daily Independent, a legal
<br />aaeapapez published and of general circulation in said City, as provided by law.
