- ~ 79- U~189s e ORDINA?~CE NO. 6417 Aa ordinance creating Sanitary Sever District No. 444 in the City of Grand Island, Sebsaska; defining the boundaries of the district; providing for the laying of a sanitary sever main in said district; providing for plans and specifications and securing bids; providing for the assessment of special rases for constructing such sever and collection thereof; and co provide for the effertive date thereof. ` BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF TAE CITY OF GRAND ISa.AND, NEBRASKA: SECTION 1. Sanitary Sever District No. 444 in the City of Crand Island, Nebraska, is hereby created for the laying of an eight-inch, or 20.32 centimeters, vitrified clay or polyvinalchloride plastic pipe, line and appurtenances thereto. SECTION 2. The boundaries of such sanitary sever district shall be as follows: Eegiaaing at the Northeast corner of Lot Z3, Geer Subdivision, located South of 20th Street; thence running southerly on the westerly line of Illinois Avenue for a cistance of 142.75 feet, or 43.51 meters, to the southerly line of said Lot 23; thence running westerly on the southerly line of Lots 23. 24, 25, 26, and 27, all in Geer Subdivision, located South of 20th Sereet, for a distance of 280 feet, or 85.344 meters; thence running northerly on a line parallel to and 280 feet, 94 85.344 teeters, S7est of the westerly line of Illinois Avenue for a distance of 163.6 feet, or 44.592 r..ecers, to the southerly line of 20th Street; theaee zoning easterly on the southerly line of 20th Street for a distance of 280 feet, or 85.344 meters, to the Northeast corner of Lot 23, Geez Subdivision, located South of 20th Street. being the point of beginning, all as shown on the plat marked £xhibit A", atuehed hereto sad incorporated herein by reference. SECTION 3. Said improvements shall be made is accordance with plans and specifi- cations prepared by the Engineer for the City who shall estimate the roar thereof, and suD- sit the lama to the City Council, and upon approval of the same, bids for the construction of such sanitary sever shall be taken and contracts entered into in the manner provided by law. " _ SECTION 4, The cost of construction of such improvements shall be assessed against the property within the district abutting upon the street or ocher zightrof-way within which wch sanitary sever main wilt be constructed within such sewerage district to tha extent of benefits co sued property bq reason of such improvement, and a special tax shall be levied at one time co pay for such cost of coastzuction as aoaa as can be ascertain, as provided ~ law; sad, provided further, such special tax and assessments shall constitute a sinking fmd for the payment of any bonds with interest issued for the purpose of paying the coat of soh sever in such district; such special assessments shall be paid and collected in a fvad to be designated and kaovn as the Sewer and Aster Extension Fund, sad out of which all warrants issued for the purpose of paying the cost of :uch sanitary sever shall be gaid. SECTZON S. a'hia ordinance shall be in force and take effect from and after its passage, approval, and gublicatioa, without the plat, as provided by law.
