2oo~o~s94 RESOLUTION 2009-21 b WHEREAS, property is required by the City of Grand Island, from The Bank of Doniphan, for public use as an alley; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on September 8, 2009, for the purpose of discussing the proposed acquisition ofproperty for use as an alley, such propertybeing the westerly 16 feet of Lot Two (2) of Rollins Second Subdivision (formerly described as: the easterly Sixteen (16) feet of the westerly Forty-Six (46) feet of Lot Nine (9), Block Ten (10} of Rollins Addition) to the City of Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska; and more particularly described as follows: COMMENCING AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF SAID LOT 2, SAID POINT ALSO BEING ON THE NORTH RIGHT-OF-WAY (R.O.W.} LINE OF 5TH STREET AND THE POINT OF BEGINNING; THENCE ON AN ASSUMED BEARING OF N28° 17' 1b"W ALONG THE WEST LINE OF SAID LOT 2 A DISTANCE OF 131.90 FEET TO THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF SAID LOT 2, SAID POINT ALSO BEING ON THE SOUTH LINE OF PUBLIC ALLEY R.O.W.; THENCE N61 °35' 21 "E ALONG THE NORTH LINE OF SAID LOT 2 A DISTANCE OF 16.00 FEET; THENCE S28 ° 17' 16"E A DISTANCE OF 131.92 FEET TO A POINT ON THE SOUTH LINE OF SAID LOT 2, SAID LINE ALSO BEING THE NORTH R.O. W . LINE OF 5TH STREET; THENCE Sb 1 °38' S3 "W ALONG SAID SOUTH LINE OF LOT 2 A DISTANCE OF 1b.00 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING. SAID TRACT CONTAINS 2,111 S.F. OR 0.05 ACRES MORE OR LESS. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the City ofGrand Island be, and hereby is, authorized to acquire the property for use as an alley from The Bank of Doniphan, on the above- described tract of land.
