BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA: SECTIO14 1. Street Improvement District No. 1051 in the City of Grand Island, Nebraska, is hereby created. SECTION 2. The boundaries of the district shall be as follows; Beginning at the junction of the East line of Vine Street and the South line of Fourteenth Street, said point also being the Northwest corner 'of Lot 5, Block 66, Wheeler & Bernett's Second Addition; thence proceeding westerly along an extension of the South line of Fourteenth Street for a distance of 40 feet: thence deflecting right in a northerly direction 40 feet from and parallel to the East line of Vine Street for a distance of 80 feet; thence deflecting right in an easterly direction along an extension of the North line of Fourteenth Street for a distance of 40 feet; thence deflecting left in a northerly direction along the East line of Vine Street for a distance of 132 feet; thence deflecting right in an easterly direction 132 feet from and parallel to the North line of Fourteenth Street for a distance of 264 feet; thence deflecting right in a southerly direction along the West line of the Burlington Northern Railroad right-of-way for a distance of 344 feet; thence deflecting right in a westerly direction 132 feet from and parallel to the South line of Fourteenth Street for a distance of 264 feet; thence deflecting right in a northerly direction along the East line of Vine Street for a distance of 132 feet to the point of.beginninb, all as shown on the plat marked Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. SECTION 3. The following street in the district shall be impro^ted by paving, curbing, z guttering, and all incidental work in connection therewith: O U4 n~. .7 Fourteenth Street from Vine Street to the Burlington Northern Railroad a right-of-way. Q. Said improvements shall be made in accordance with plans and specifications prepared z p by the Engineer for the City and approved by the Mayor and Council. SECTION 4• The improvements shall be made at public cost, but the cost thereof, excluding intersections, shall be assessed upon the lots and lands in the district specially benefited thereby, as provided by law. SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in force and take effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication, without the plat. as provided by law. SECTION 6. This ordinance, with the plat, is hereby directed to be filed in the office of the Register of Deeds, Hall County, Nebraska. SECTION 7. After passage. approval, and publication of this ordinance, notice of the creation of said district shall be published in the Grand Island Daily Independent, a legal newspaper published and of general circulation in said City, as provided by law.
