all k"", 000272 ORTjINANCE NO. f ' 1 An ordinance creating Str,:ct Improvement District No. 1049; defining the boundaries of the district; providing for the improvement of a street within the district by paving, guttering, and all incidental work in connection therewith; and providing the effective date of this ordinance. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA: SECTION 1. Street Improvement District No. 1049 in the City of Grand Island, Nebraska, is hereby crzated. SECT ON 2. The boundaries of the district shall be as follows: Beginning at the junction of the South line of Sixth Street and the East line of Vine Street, said point also being the Northwest corner of Lot 4, :Block 23, Nagy's Addition in the City of Grand Island; thence proceeding northerly along an extension of the Fast line of Vine Street for a distance of 40 feet; thence deflect.in left in a westerly direction 40 feet from and parallel to the South line o Sixth Street for a distance of 80 feet; thence deflecting left in a southerly direction alone, an extension of the west line of 'line Street for a distance of 40 fe-t; thence deflecting right in a westerly direction along the South line of Sixth Street for a distance of 132 feet; Lthence deflecting left in a southerly direction 132 feet from and parallel to the West line of Vine Street for a distance of 289 feet; thence deflecting, O r ; co ¢ left in an easterly direction along the North line of Fifth Street for a oa w distance of 132 feet; thence deflecting right in a southerly direction alone } ra an extension of the West line of Vine Street _or a distance of 40 feet; thane a deflecting left in an easterly direction 40 feet from and parallel to the North u line of Fifth Street for a distance of 80 feet: thence deflecting left in a northerly direction along an extension of the East line of Vine Street for a distance of 40 feet; thence deflecting right in an easterly direction along the North line of Fifth Street for a distance of 118.5 feet; thence deflecting left in a northwesterly direction to a point on the South line of Sixth Street located at the Northeast corner of Lot 4, Block 23, Nagy 's Addition; thence deflecting left in a westerly direction along the South line of Sixth Street for a distance of 66 feet to the point of beginning all as shown on the plat marked Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. SFCTIO`2 3. The following street in the district shall be improved by paving, curbing;, guttering„ and all incidental work in connection therewith: Vine Street from Fifth Street to Sixth Street. Said improvemcrtt-s shall be made in accordance with plans and specifications prepared by the t:ngineer for 0'e City and approved by the Mayor and Council. SECTION 4. The improvements shall be made at public cost, but the cost thereof, excluding intersecticns, shall be assessed upon the lots and lands in the district specially benafited thereby, as provic?e.d by law. SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in force and take effect from and after its paseage, approval, and publication, without the plat, as provided by law. SECTION 6. This ordinance, with the plat, is hereby directed to bo filed in the office of the F.ep,ister of Deeds, Hall County. Nebraska. SECTION 7. After passage, approval, and publication of this ordinance, notice of. the crc,:ation of said district shall be published in the Grand IslankS Daily Independent, a legal newspaper published and of general cir(:ulution in said City, as pro,,Lded by law.
