ORDINANCE NO. 6981 An ordinance creating Street Improvement District No. 1041; defining the ')oundaries of the district: providing for the improvement of a street within the district by paving, guttering, and all incidental work in connection therewith; and providing the effective date of this ordinance. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA: SECTION 1. Street Improvement District No. 1041 in the City of Grand Island, Nebraska, is hereby created. SECTION 2. The boundaries of the district shall be as follows: Beginning at the junction of the East line of Maple Street and 0e South line of Groff Street, said point also being the Northwest corner of Lot. 4, Block 10, of .loehnck's Addition; thence proceeding northerly along an extension of the East line of Maple Street for a distance of 80 feet; thence deflecting left in a westerly direction along an extension of the North line of Groff Street for a distance of 33.5 feet; thence deflectin¢ left, in a southerly direction ziong the East line of the C. B. n Q. Belr:ine Railroad a to the North line of Bischeld Street; thence deflecting left in an easterly r~ direction, along the North line: of Bischeld Street for a distance of 148.25 o feet; thence deflecting right in a southerly direction alring an extension of the West line of Maple Street for a distance of 40 feet; thence deflecting CL left in an easterly direction 40 feet from and parallel to the North line of Bischeld Street for a distance of 80 feet; thence deflecting left in a u+ northerly direction along an extension of the East line of Maple Street for ¢ a distance of 40 feet; thence deflecting right in an easterly direction along the North line of Bischeld Street for a distance of 132 feet; thence deflcctinF; left in a northerly direction 132 feet from and parallel to the East line of Maple Street for a distance of 280 feet; thence deflecting left in a westerly direction along; the South line of Groff Street for a distance of 132 feet to the point of beginning, all as shown on the plat: marked Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. SECTION 3. The following street in the district sha;,l be improved by paving, curbing, guttering, and all incidental work in connection therewith: Maple Street from Bischeld Street to Groff Street. Said improvements shall be made in accordance with plans and specifications prepared by the Engineer for the City and approve? by the Mayor and Council. SECTION 4. The improvements shall be made at public cost, but the cost thereof, excluding intersections, shall be assessed upon the lots and lands in the district specially benefited thereby, as provided by law. SECTION 5. This ordinancn shall be in force and take effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication, without the plat, as provided by law. SECTION 6. This ordinance, with the plat, is hereby directed to be filed in the office of the Register of Deeds, Hall County, Nebraska. SECTION 7. After passage, approval, and publication of this ordinance, notice of the creation of said district shall be published in the Grand Island Daily Independent, a legal newspaper published and of general circulation in said City, as provided by law.
