<br />RERL ESTATE LIEN
<br />WHEREAS Wayne and Mary Bookman, husband and wife hereinafter
<br />usually referred to as "Homeowner", whether one or more) has
<br />entered into a certain written HOUSING REHABILITATION GRANT
<br />AGRHEMENT dated the 19th day of September ~ 1982 with the City
<br />of Grand Zsland, Nebraska, a municipal corporation (hereinafter
<br />usually referred to as "City") , acting through its Community
<br />Development Agency, for rehabilitation of a dwelling on premises
<br />awned by Homeowner which are hereinafter described, and for the
<br />granting by City to Homeowner of Federal funds in the amount of
<br />Thirteen Thousand Eight Hundred sixty-five and OOi100 Dollars
<br />{$13,865.00) to be applied in payment of the cost of such
<br />rehabilitation, and
<br />WHEREAS, Homeowner in such AGREEMENT has, among other
<br />things, agreed (a) to repay such amount or, as the case may be, a
<br />part thereof to City in certain circumstances described in the
<br />AGREBMBNT, and (b) to execute and deliver to City an instrument
<br />in recordable form granting to City a Tien on the premises to
<br />secure snch repayment,
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, in eonsideratian of such AGREEMENT with
<br />City, Wayne and Mary Backman, husband and wife dace hereby grant
<br />to CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, A Municipal Coronation, its
<br />successors and assigns, a lien upon the following described real
<br />estate situated in Hall County, Nebraska:
<br />Lot Faur (4), Block Four {4), Wheeler Addition
<br />an addition to Lhe City of Grand Island, Nebraska,
<br />according to *_he record plat thereof,
<br />to secure zepayment to the City of Grand Island, *tebraska, its
<br />successors and assigns, of the amount of the grant hereinabove
<br />referred to or, as the case may be, a part thereof in accordance
<br />with the terms and conditions set forth in the HOUSING
<br />REHABILITATION GRANT AGREEMENT to which reference is made
<br />hereinabove.
<br />The lien herein granted shall run with fhe premises for a
<br />period of three (3) years from this date, and shall also bind the
<br />successors and assigns and, except as provided is such AGREEMENT,
<br />the personal representatives, heirs, deviseees, and legatees of
<br />Homeown€r.
