BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, SECTION 1. Street Improvement District No. 1035 in the City of Grand Island, Nebraska. is herp.by created. SECTION 2. Beginning at the junction of the north line of Eighth Street and the West line of Custer Avenue. said point also being the Southeast corner of Lot One (I). Block Eight (8). of West View Subdivision; thence proceeding North along the West line of Custer Avenue for a distance of 298 feet; thence deflecting left in a westerly direction 298 feet from and parallel to the North line or Eighth Street f0r a distance of 276 feetj thence deflecting left in a southerly direction ~long the East line of Howard Avenue for a distance of 298 feet; thence deflecting right in a westD~ly direction along an extension of the North line of Eighth Street for a distance of 33 feet; thence deflecting left in a southerly direction 33 feet from and parallel to the East line of Howard Street for a distance of 66 feet; thence deflecting left in an easterly dirpction along an extension of the South line of Eighth Street for a distance of 33 feet~ thence deflecting right in a southerly direction along the East line of Howard Street for a distance of 300 feet; thence deflecting left in an easterly direction 300 feet from and paral~ to the South line of Ei8hth Street for a distance of 276 feet; thenc{ deflecting left in a northerly direction alon~ the West line of Custer Avenue for a distance of 300 feet: thence deflecting right in an easterly direction along an extension of the South line of Eighth Street for a distance of 33 feet. thence deflecting left in a northerly direction 33 feet from and parallel to the East line of Custer Avenue for a distance of 66 fee~. thence deflecting left in a westerly direction along an extension of the North line of Eighth Street to the point of beginning, all as shown on [he plat. marked Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. SECTION 3. The following street in the district shall be improved by paving, curbing. guttering, and all incidental work in connection therewith: Eighth Street from the centerline of Howard Aveuue to the centerline of Custer Avenue. Said improvements shall be made in accordance with plans and specifications prepared by the Engineer for the City and approved by the Mayor and Council. SECTION 4. The improvements shall be made at public cost, but the coat thereof, excluding intersections, shall be assessed upon the lots and lands in the district spp.cially benefited thereby, as provided by law. SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in force and take effect from and after its p"saae, approval, and publication. without the plat, as provided by law. SECTION 6. This ordinance, with the plat. is hereby directed to be filed in the off1ce of the Register of Deeds, Hall County, Nebraska. SECTION 7.
