The following streets in the district shall be improved by grading, paving, <br /> <br />surfaced shoulders, and all incidental work in connection therewith: <br /> <br />U.S. Highway 281 from 1,445.15 feet South of Capital Avenue to Nebraska Highway 2, <br />including all on/off interchanges at the junction of Highways 281/2, but excluding <br />the overpass structure over Highway 2 and the Burlington Northern Railroad tracks. <br /> <br />Said improvements shall be made in accordance with plans and specifications prepared <br /> <br />by the Engineer for the State and approved by the Nebraska Department of Roads Director-State <br /> <br />Engineer. <br /> <br />SECTION 4. All improvements shall be made at public cost. The City of Grand Island's <br /> <br /> <br />share of the federal aid project cost is estimated to TIe $300,000.00, such cost sharing <br /> <br /> <br />having been approved by the Mayor and Council by appropriate ag~eement between the City of <br /> <br /> <br />Grand Island and the State of Nebraska. Should the actual bid price exceed or be less than <br /> <br /> <br />the State Engineer's estimate by more than 5%, then the City's cost share of this portion <br /> <br /> <br />will be increased or decreased proportionately. Any other non-federally sponsored incidental <br /> <br /> <br />work accomplished in conjunction with this project will be City costs. <br /> <br /> <br />SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in force and take effect from and after its <br /> <br />passage, approval, and publication, without the plat, as provided by law. <br /> <br /> <br />SECTION 6. This ordinance, with the plat, is hereby directed to be filed in the <br /> <br /> <br />office of the Register of Deeds, Hall County, Nebraska. <br /> <br /> <br />SECTION 7.
