~~ ---~- ii 01112 `l ORDINANCE N0. 7017 An ordinance creating Street Improvement District No. 1072; defining the boundaries of the district; providing for the improvement of a street within the district by paving, guttering, and all incidental work in connection therewith; and providing the effective date of this ordinance. - BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, :NEBRASKA: SECTION 1. Street Improvement District No. 1072 in the City of Grand Island, Nebraska-, is hereby created. SECTION 2. The boundaries of the district shall be as follows: Beginning at the point of intersection of [he South right-of-way line of Sixth Street and the East right-of-way line of Darr Avenue: thence East on the South right-of-way line of Sixth Street a distance of 120.0 feet: thence South parallel to the East right-of-way line of Darr Avenue a distance of 280.0 feet to the North right-of-way line of Fifth Street: thence West on the North right-of-way line of Fifth Street ~ Z a distance of 120.0 feet; thence South on the East right-of-way line p c W of Darr Avenue a distance of 40.0 feet; thence West parallel to the o ~ ~ North right-of-way line of Fifth Street a distance of 60.0 feet: thence ~ ~ North on the West right-of-~oay line of -arr Avenue a distance of 40.0 ~ ¢ feet: thence [+'est on the North right-of-way line of Fifth Street a °= w distance of 120.0 feet: thence North parallel to the West right-of-way ~ m ~ line of Darr Avenue a distance of 280.0 feet to the South right-of-way ~ LL ¢ line of Sixth Street; thence East on the South right-of-way line of c7 Sixth Street a distance of 120.0 feet: thence North on the West right- ~ of-way line of Darr Avenue a distance of 40.0 feet; thence East parallel to the South right-of-way line of Sixth Street a distance of 60.0 feet: - thence South on the East right-of-way line of Darr Avenue a distance of 40.0 feet to the point of beginning, all as shown on the plat marked- Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. SECTION 3. The following street in the district shall be improved by paving, curbing, guttering, and all incidental work in connection therewith: Darr Avenue from Fifth Street to Sixth Street: Said improvements shall be made in accordance with plans and specifications prepared by the Engineer for the City and approved by the Mayor and Councii. SECTION 4. The improvements shall be made at public cost, but the cost thereof, excluding intersections, shall be assessed upon the lots and lands in the district specially benefited thereby, as provided by law. SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in force and take effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication, without the plat, as provided by law. SECTION 6. This ordinance, with the plat, is hereby directed to be filed in the office of the Register of Deeds, Hall County, Nebraska. SECTION 7. After passage, approval, and publication of this ordinance, notice of the creation of said district shall be published in the Grand Island Daily Independent, a legal newspaper publi//shed and of general circulation in said City, as provided by law.
