SE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CRP.ND ISLAND, NEBRAS'~fA: SECTION I. Street Improvement District No. 1078 in the City of Grand Island, Nebraska, is hereby created. SECTION 2. The boundaries of the district shall be as follows: Beginning at a point where the East right-of-way line of Custer Avenue intersects the North right-of-~vay line of George Street; thence North on the East right-of-way line of Custer Avenue a distance of 300.0 feet; thence East parallel to the North right-of-way line of George Street a distance of ~ F- 252.0 feet to the West right-of-;aay line of F7aldo Avenue; thence South on ~ _ Z the West right-of-way line of [daldo Avenue a distance of 300.0 feet: thence w .~ ~ East on the North right-of-way line of George Street a distance of 30.0 feet; ~ ,_ ~ thence South parallel to the West right-of-way line of Waldo Avenue a distance ~ ¢ of 80.0 feet: thence [lest on the South right-of-way line of George Street a ~` w distance of 30.0 feet: thence South on the West right-of-way line of Waldo ~ ~ ~ Avenue a distance of ?40.0 feet; thence West parallel to the South right-of- a 4 ¢ way line of George Street a distance of 252.0 feet to the East right-of-way c7 line of Custer Avenue: thence North on the East right-of-way line of Custer a ~ Avenue a distance of 140.0 feet; thence West on the South right-of-way line of George Street a distance of 30.0 feet; thence North parallel to the East right-of-way line of Duster Avenue a distance of 80.0 feet; thence East on the North right-of-way line of George Street a distance of 30.0 feet to the point of beginning, all as shown on the plat marked Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. SECTION 3. The following street in the district shall be improved by paving, curbing, guttering, and all incidental work in connection therewith: George Street from Custer Avenue to Waldo Avenue. Said improvements shall be made in accordance with plans and specifications prepared by the Engineer for the City and approved by [he Mayor and Council. SECTION 4. The improvements shall be made at public cost, but the cost thereof, excluding intersections, shall be assessed upon the lots and lands in the district specially benefited thereby, as provided by law. SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in force and take effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication, without the plat, as provided by law. SECTION 6. This ordinance, with the plat, is hereby directed to be filed in the office of the Register of Deeds, Hall County, Nebraska. SECTION 7. After passage, approval, and publication of this ordinance, notice of the creation of said district shall be published in the Grand Island Daily Independent, a legal newspaper published and of general circulation in said City, as provided by law.
