BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF T}IE CITY OF GRAND ISLAPiD, NEBRASKA: SECTION 1. Street Improvement District No. 1066 in the City of Grand Island, Nebraska, is hereby created. SECTION 2. The boundaries of the district shall be as follows: Beginning at a point where the East right-of-way line of Carey Avenue intersects the North right-of-way line of Sixth Street; thence North on the East right- of-way line of Carey Avenue a distance of 225.0 feet; thence East parallel to the North right-of-way line of Sixth Street a distance of 252.0 feet to the ~ F- West right-o€-way line of Ruby Avenue a distance of 125.0 feet; thence East p ~ on the North right-of-way line of Sixth Street a distance of 30 feet; thence ~" ~ ~ South parallel to the West right-of-way line of Ruby Avenue a distance of tt 60.0 feet; thence 'lest on the South right-of-way line of Sixth Street a r a distance of 30.0 feet; thence South on [he West right-oi`-way line of Ruby w Avenue a distance of 150.0 feet; thence West parallel to the South right-of-way W ~ ~ ~ line of Sixth Street a distance of 252.0 feet to the East right-of-way line of ~ ,~ ¢ Carey Ave n••2: whence *:c rth on the East rivhr-of-way line of Carey Avenue a la c9 distance of 150.0 feet; thence West on the South right-of-way line of Sixth -II __ J Street a distance of 30.0 feet, thence North parallel to the East right-of-way line of Carey Avenue a distance of 60 feet; thence East on the North right-of- way Line of Sixth Street a distance of 30.0 feet to the point of beginning. SECTION 3. The following street in the district shall be improved by paving, curbing, guttering, and all incidental work in connection therewith: Sixth Street from Carey Avenue to Ruby Avenue. Said improvements shall be made in accordance with plans and specifications prepared by the Engineer for the City and approved by the Mayor and Council. SECTION 4. The improvements shall be made at public cost, but the cost thereof, excluding intersections, shall be assessed upon the lots and lands in the district specially benefited thereby, as provided by law. SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in force and take effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication, without the plat, as provided by law. SECTION 6. This ordinance, with the plat, is hereby directed to be filed in.the office of the Register of Deeds, Hall County, Nebraska. SECTION 7. After passage, approval, and publication of this ordinance, notice of the creation of said district shalt be published in the Grand Island Daily Independent, a legal newspaper published and of general circulation in said City, as provided by law.
