<br />I <br /> <br />83-001070 <br /> <br />O~~NANCE NO. 6619 <br /> <br />An ordinance directing and authorieing the conveyance of a.part of vacated <br />Hancoclt Streee; providing for the giving of noeice of such conveyance and the eerms <br />thereof; providing for the right to file a re~nstrance against such conveyance; and <br />repealing Ordinance No, 6593; and providing for the effeceive date 'hereof. <br />~ IT ORDAINED BY TIlE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF TIlE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA: <br />SECTION 1. The conveyance to Ronald E, Hull and Barbara A. Hull of Grand Island, <br />Nebraska, of the following described properey: <br />The easterly eigheeen (18) feet of the southerly fifty-five (55) feet of <br />vacated Hancock Avenue north of Fourth Street, as vacated by Ordinance <br />No, 6484 of ehe City of Grand Island, abutting Lot Forey-three (43), West <br />Heights Addition, and reserving unto the City the entire area for the <br />maintenance, placement, replacement, and installation of public utilities <br />in, over, upon, and through such area, and all rights necessary and <br />appurtenant thereto; as shown on the plat marked Exhibit "AU attached <br />hereto and incorporated herein by reference; <br />~ hereby authorized and directed. <br />SECTION 2. The consideration for such conveyance shall be One Dollar ($1.00); <br />conveyance of the real estaee above described shall be by quitclaim deed, upon delivery <br />of the consideraeion, and the City of Grand Island will not furnish an abseract of eiele, <br />SECTION 3. As pl.'ovided by law, notice of such conveyance and the terms thereof <br />ahall be published for three consecutive weeks in the Grand Island Daily Independent, <br />a newspaper published for general circulation in the City of Grand Island, Immediately <br />after the passage and publication of this ordinance, the city clerk is hereby directed <br />and in.eructed to prepare and publish such norice. <br />SECTION 4. Authority is hereby granted co the electors of the City of Grand Island <br />to file a remonstrance against the conveyance of such within described real estate; and <br />if . remonstrance against such conveyance signed by legal electors of the City of Grand <br />Xsland equal in number to thirty percent of the electors of the City of Grand Island <br />vot1ng at the last regular municipal election held in such City be filed with the city <br />couacil within thirty days of passage and publication of such ordinance, said property <br />lIball not then, nor within one year there4fter, be conveyed, <br />SECTION 5. The conveyance of s4id real estate is hereby authorized, directed, <br />and coofu-d; and if no remonstrance be filed against such conveyance, the Mayor and <br />city clerk shall Illake. execute, and deliver to the said ROtUlld E, Hull and Barbara A. <br />Hull a quitclaim deed for said real estate, and the execution of such deed is hereby <br />authorized without further action on behalf of the city council. <br />SEctION 6. That ordinance No. 6593, enacted May 12, 1980, be, and hereby is, <br />~l.d. <br />SECTION 7.
