r <br />83--~j~.084'7, <br />REAL ESTATE LIEN <br />WHEREAS George and Doris Welch, husband and wife, <br />(hereinafter usually referred to as "Hameowner" whether one or <br />more) has entered into a certain wri ten HOUSING REHABILITATION <br />GRANT AGREEMENT dated the ~~ day of Ja1 _ 1983 with the <br />City of Grand Island, Nebraska, a municipal corporation <br />(hereinafter usually referred to as "City"), acting through its <br />Community Development Agency, for rehabilitation of a dwelling on <br />premises owned by Homeowner which are hereinafter described, and <br />for the granting by City to Homeowner of Federal funds in the <br />amount of Fifteen Thousand and 00/100 Dollars ($15,000.00) to be <br />applied in payment of the cost of such rehabilitation, and <br />WHEREAS, Homeowner in such AGREEMENT has, among other <br />things, agreed (a) to repay such amount or, as the case may be, a <br />part .thereof to City in certain circumstances described in the <br />AGREEMENT, and (b) to execute and deliver to Gity an instrument <br />in recordable form granting to City a lien on the premises to <br />secure such repayment, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of such AGREEMENT with <br />City, George and Daris Welch, husband and wife does hereby grant <br />to CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, A Municipal Corporation, its <br />successors and assigns, a lien upon the following described real <br />estate situated in Ha11 County, Nebraska: <br />North One-Half (N 1/2} of Lot Five (5), Block Seven[y-Four (74), <br />Origiaal Town of Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska <br />according to the record plat thereof, <br />to secure repayment [o the City of Grand Island, Nebraska, its <br />successors and assigns, of the amount of Che grant hereinabove <br />referred to or, as the case may be, a part thereof in accordance <br />with the terms and conditions set forth in the HOUSING <br />REHABILITATION GRANT AGREEMENT to which reference is made <br />hereina6ove. <br />The lien herein granted shall run with the premises for a <br />period of three C3} years Irom this date, and shall also bind the <br />successors and assigns and, except as orovided in such AGREEMENT, <br />the personal representatives, heirs, devisees, and legatees of <br />Hameowner. <br />Dated this __ ~ day f _ 1483. <br />~/ hJ ~A,f/ ~- <br />"C r ~' ~ t <br />STATE OF NEBRASKA <br />~ ss <br />County of Hall ) <br />On this __~"" -_ day e~~h~S>?cc'.e.._,~"~i983, before me, the <br />undersigned, duly coarmissianed and acting in and for such county, <br />personally appeared George and Doris Welch, husband and wife <br />kaown [o me to be the identical persons whose signatures are <br />affixed to the faregoing instrument, and they acknowledged the <br />execution of such instrument to be their voluntary act {s) and <br />d~eds(s). <br />In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my official hand, and <br />seal the date last abov written. <br />~,gERht.
