ORDINANCE NO. 7175 85® 002946 An ordinance to vacate a portion of Pine Street right - of -way in the City of Grand Island, Nebraska; and to provide the effective date of this ordinance. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA: SECTION 1. That a triangular tract of land in Pine Street in the City of Grand Island, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the southwesterly corner of Lot Four (4), Block Ninety -one (91), Original Town, now City of Grand Island, Nebraska; thence running westerly on a prolongation of the southerly line of said Block Ninety -one (91) for a distance of five and forty - five hundredths (5.45) feet; thence running northerly on a prolongation of the westerly line of Lot Two (2) in Westervelt's Subdivision, an Addition to the City of Grand Island, Nebraska, to its intersection with the westerly line of said Lot Four (4) in Block Ninety -one (91), Original Town; thence running southerly on the westerly line of said Lot Four (4), Block Ninety -one (91), Original Town, to the south- westerly corner of said Lot Four (4), Block Ninety - one (91), Original Town, being the point of beginning, be, and hereby is, vacated. SECTION 2. That the title to the street right -nf -way vacated by Section 1 of this ordinance shall revert to the owner or owners of lots or lands abutting the same in proportion to the respective ownerships of such lots or grounds. SECTION 3. That this ordinance is hereby directed to be filed in the office of the Register of Deeds of Hall County, Nebraska. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in force and take effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication within fifteen days in one issue of the Grand Island Daily Independent, as provided by law.
