I <br />87, 105558 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 7412 <br />An ordinance requiring grading, curbing, guttering, and <br />paving of Seal Street from Eleventh Street to Twelfth Street; <br />providing for the levy and collection of special taxes and <br />assessments upon the adjacent or abutting properties specially <br />benefited by such improvements; and providing an effective date <br />of this ordinance. <br />WHEREAS, that portion of Beal Street from Eleventh Street to <br />Twelfth Street is unpaved and does not exceed two blocks <br />including intersections, or thirteen hundred twenty -five feet, <br />whichever is the lesser; and <br />WHEREAS, paving said portion of Beal Street will make <br />Beal Street one continuous paved street. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA: <br />SECTION 1. Pursuant to Chapter 18, Article 20, R.R.S. <br />Nebraska 1943, that portion of Beal Street from Eleventh Street <br />to Twelfth Street shall be improved by paving, curbing, <br />guttering, and all incidental work in connection therewith, to be <br />known as street improvement No. 11556, in accordance with plans <br />and specifications prepared by the Engineer for the City and <br />approved by the Mayor and Council. <br />SECTION 2. The improvements shall be made at public cost, <br />but the cost thereof, excluding intersections, shall be assessed <br />upon the lots and lands in the district specially benefited <br />thereby as provided by law. <br />SECTION 3. The lots and parcels of real estate adjacent to <br />or abutting upon the portion of said street to be improved are <br />located within the following boundaries: <br />Beginning at the Northwest corner of Lot 1, Trinity <br />United Methodist Eastside Subdivision, said point also <br />being the intersection of the South line of Twelfth <br />Street and the East line of Beal Street; thence East on <br />the south line of Twelfth Street for a distance of one <br />hundred thirty -one (131) feet; thence South on a line <br />one hundred thirty -one (131) feet East of and parallel <br />to the East line of Beal Street to the Southeast corner <br />of Lot 1, Trinity United Methodist Eastside <br />
