7-- 103959 STATE OF NEBRASKA ) AFFIDAVIT UNDER REVISED STATUTES ) ss. OF NEBRASKA, SECTION 30- 24,125 COUNTY OF HALL ) RUBY M. MENDENHALL, being first duly sworn on oath, de- poses and says: 1. That she resides at 1612 North Park Avenue, Grand Island, Nebraska 68803. 2. That she is the widow of Harold Herndon Mendenhall, who died at Grand Island, Nebraska, on January 19, 1987. 3. The value of his entire separately -owned estate does not exceed $10,000.00. in fact, the only separately -owned assets of Harold Herndon Mendenhall were the following: Certificate No. LS49605 for 4 shares of the common stock of Union Pacific Corporation; and Certificate No. LS51810 for 2 shares of the common stock of Union Pacific Corporation. Both of said certificates were registered and owned by Harold Herndon Mendenhall alone. 4. More than thirty (30) days have elapsed since the death of the decedent. 5. No application nor petition for appointment of a per- sonal representative is pending nor has been granted in any jurisdiction; and this Affiant, his widow, is entitled to payment or delivery of all separately -owned property of the decedent. 6. Aside from the six (6) shares of Union Pacific Cor- poration common stock described above, the only other assets in which the decedent had an interest at the time of his death were assets owned by him in joint tenancy with this Affiant, his widow, and including the following described real estate: Lot One Hundred Forty -two (142), in West Lawn Addition to the City of Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska. 7. The total gross vague of assets subject to considera- tion for Federal Estate Tax purposes does not approach nor exceed $600,000.00. No Federal Estate Tax Return is required and no Federal Estate Tax is owing herein. All jointly -owned assets and the stock described above passed to this Affiant, his sur- viving spouse, and thus are exempt from Nebraska Inheritance Tax. DATED this lst day of July, 1987. RUBY i .
