The Court has considered the alimony request ofthe Petitioner. The Court, from <br />the evidence, awards no alimony. This is a marriage often year duration, eight years from the <br />date of filing. The Court knows, from the evidence, that the Respondent has a painting <br />business but knows nothing about the value of the painting business, only that it is a closed <br />corporation with the Respondent owning all of the stock and the Respondent's salary which, <br />was agreed upon by the parties, including rent, netting $3,183.57 monthly. The Court knows <br />that the Petitioner has a degree in commercial art and prior to the children being born worked <br />out ofthe home and worked some part time since the birth of the children. In addition to the <br />degree in commercial art the Petitioner also has a cosmetology license and studied to obtain <br />a real estate license but chose not to do so. That Petitioner is now going to school studying <br />education at a community college and will get her associate's degree in 2004. The Court is <br />aware that the Petitioner grosses $880 per month working on a part-time basis keeping <br />financial records for her boyfriend's farming operation. The Court has no information <br />concerning Petitioner's costs of living. The Court can glean from the evidence that <br />Petitioner's present income situation is voluntary in providing services for her boyfriend and <br />her own testimony concerning Petitioner's attempts, based upon her education and skill level, <br />to obtain employment. The Court is aware, based upon the testimony of Petitioner's prior <br />background, that she is capable of obtaining employment in a number of fields but has not <br />
