<br />ORDINANCE NO. 298 <br /> <br />88- 106107 <br /> <br />An Ordinance to levy the cost of demolition, removal of <br />debris, cost of fill soil for removal of a building located upon <br />Lot Three (3), Block Ten (10), original Town of Wood River, <br />Hall county, Nebraska, as a special assessment. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Wood River, Nebraska, pursuant to <br />section 18-1722 Revised Statutes of Nebraska has heretofore given <br />notice to the' owner of certain real estate above described to <br />rehabilitate, demolish or remove the building upon said property <br />as an unsafe building or structure as a public nuisance, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the owner has failed and refused to comply with <br />the notice of the City of Wood River, Nebraska, necessitating <br />the employment by the City of equipment, materials and labor <br />to demolish buildings and refill a hole after removal of the <br />building upon Lot Three (3), Block Ten (10), Original Town of <br />Wood River, Nebraska, and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Wood River is empowered by law to <br />levy the costs of demolition and removal of unsafe building, <br />including the costs to restore the surface of the land as a <br />special assessment: <br /> <br />BE IT THEREFORE ORDAINED by the Hayor and the Council of <br />the City of Wood River, Nebraska: <br /> <br />1. The cost of removal and demolition of buildings located <br />upon Lot Three (3), Block Ten (10), Original Town of Wood River, <br />Nebraska, and the cost of restoring the soil by importing fill <br />dirt to fill the foundation thereof is hereby levi~~ RS a special <br />assessment against said land in the sum of $-150.00 <br /> <br />2. Said special assessment shall become due and payable <br />immediately upon passage of this Ordinance as provided by law. <br /> <br />3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to <br />file a copy of this Ordinance with the Hall County Register of <br />Deeds upon its passage. <br /> <br />Passed and approved by the City Council of Wood River, <br />Hall County, Nebraska, this 8th day of November, 1988. <br /> <br />~~~r~~ <br /> <br /> <br />The undersigned hereby certifies that he is the duly <br />appointed acting City Clerk for the City of Wood River, Nebraska, <br />and that the above and foregoing Ordinance is a true and correct <br />copy of the original Ordinance ~ssed by the City Council of the <br />Wood River, Nebraska, on the ~day of November, 1988. <br /> <br />~. ).JV1J2..
