<br />.AIL. 5 1988 <br /> <br />88- 103698 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 7463 <br /> <br />. . <br /> <br />An ordinance requiring grading, curbing, guttering, and <br />paving of Kimball street from 14th Street to 15th Street, <br />providing for the levy and collection of special taxes and <br />assessments upon the adjacent or abutting properties specially <br />benefited by such improvements, and providing an effective date <br />of ~his ordinance. <br />WHEREAS, that portion of Kimball Street from 14th Street to <br />15th street is unpaved and does not exceed two blocks including <br />intersections, or thirteen hundred twenty-five feet, whichever is <br />the lesser, and <br />WHEREAS, paving said portion of Kimball Street will make <br />Kimball street one continuous paved street. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF <br /> <br />THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Pursuant to Chapter 18, Article 20, R.R.S. <br /> <br />Nebraska 1943, that portion of Kimball Street from 14th Street to <br /> <br />15th street shall be improved by paving, curbing, guttering, and <br /> <br />all incidental work in connection therewith, to be known as <br /> <br />street improvement No. 1166G, in accordance with plans and <br /> <br />specifications prepared by the Engineer for the City and approved <br /> <br />: 'by'the Mayor and Council. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. The improvements shall be made at public cost, <br /> <br />but the cost thereof, excluding intersections, shall be assessed <br /> <br />upon the lots and lands in the district specially benefited <br /> <br />thereby as provided by law. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. The lots and parcels of real estate adjacent to <br /> <br />or abutting upon the portion of said street to be improved are <br /> <br />located within the following boundaries: <br /> <br />Beginning at the junction of the North right-of-way <br />line of 14th Street and the East right-of-way line of <br />I~imball Street, said point also being the Southwest <br />corner of Lot 6, Block 77, Wheeler & Bennett's Third <br />Addition, thence proceeding easterly along the North <br />line of 14th Street for a distance of 132 feet, thence <br />deflecting left in a northerly direction 132 feet East <br />of and parallel to the East line of Kimball Street for <br />a distance of 280 feet, thence deflecting left in a <br /> <br />[ A"PHO~~~O fORM <br /> <br />JUN 1 3 1989 <br /> <br />LEGAL DEPARTMENT <br />
