<br />.AI.. ._ <br /> <br />88- 103695 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 7460 <br /> <br />'. <br /> <br />An ordinance requiring grading, curbing, guttering, and <br />paving of Darr Avenue from Fifth street to sixth street; <br />providing for the levy and collection of special taxes and <br />assessments upon the adjacent or abutting properties specially <br />benefited by such improvements; and providing an effective date <br />of this ordinance. <br />WHEREAS, that portion of Darr Avenue from Fifth Street to <br />Sixth street is unpaved and does not exceed two blocks including <br />intersections, or thirteen hundre4 twenty-five feet, whichever is <br />the lesser; and <br />WHEREAS, paving said portion of Darr Avenue will make Darr <br /> <br /> <br />Avenue one continuous paved street. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF <br /> <br />THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Pursuant to Chapter 18, Article 20, R.R.S. <br /> <br />Nebraska 1943, that portion of Darr Avenue from Fifth Street to <br /> <br />Sixth street shall be improved by paving, curbing, guttering, and <br /> <br />all incidental work in connection therewith, to be known as <br /> <br />street improvement No. 1163G, in accordance with plans and <br /> <br />specifications prepared by the Engineer for the City and approved <br /> <br />by the Mayor and Council. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. The improvements shall be made at public cost, <br /> <br />but the cost thereof, excluding intersections, shall be assessed <br /> <br />upon the lots and lands in the district specially benefited <br /> <br />thereby as provided by law. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. The lots and parcels of real estate adjacent to <br /> <br />or abutting upon the portion of said street to be improved are <br /> <br />located within the following boundaries: <br /> <br />Beginning at the point of intersection of the South <br />right-of-way line of Sixth Street and the East right- <br />of-way line of Darr Avenue, thence East on the South <br />right-of-way line of Sixth Street a distance of 120.0 <br />feet; thence South parallel to the East right-of-way <br />line of Darr Avenue a distance of 280.0 feet to the <br />North right-of-way line of Fifth Street, thence West on <br />the North right-of-way line of Fifth Street a distance <br />of 120.0 feet, thence South on the East right-of-way <br /> <br />;~giOFO"M <br /> <br />JUN 1 3 198f <br /> <br />Ir~"l O~PARTMENT <br />
