<br />w,.uu <br /> <br />88- 10369<-1 <br /> <br />. . <br /> <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 7459 <br /> <br />An ordinance requiring grading, curbing, guttering, and <br />paving of White Avenue from 12th street to 13th Street; providing <br />for the levy and collection of special taxes and assessments upon <br />the adjacent or abutting properties specially benefited by such <br />improvements; and providing an effective date of this ordinance. <br />WHEREAS, that portion of White Avenue from 12th Street to <br />13th Street is unpaved and does not exceed two blocks including <br />intersections, or thirteen hundred twenty-five feet, whichever is <br />the lesser; and <br />WHEREAS, paving said portion of White Avenue will make White <br /> <br />Avenue one continuous paved street. <br /> <br />l. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF <br /> <br />THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Pursuant to Chapter 18, Article 20, R.R.S. <br /> <br />Nebraska 1943, that portion of White Avenue from 12th Street to <br /> <br />13th Street shall be improved by paving, curbing, guttering, and <br /> <br />all incidental work in connection therewith, to be known as <br /> <br />street improvement No. 1162G, in accordance with plans and <br /> <br />specifications prepared by the Engineer for the City and approved <br /> <br />by the Mayor and Council. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. The improvements shall be made at public cost, <br /> <br />but the cost thereof, excluding intersections, shall be assessed <br /> <br />upon the lots and lands in the district specially benefited <br /> <br />thereby as provided by law. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. The lots and parcels of real estate adjacent to <br /> <br />or abutting upon the portion of said street to be improved are <br /> <br />located within the following boundaries: <br /> <br />Beginning at the junction of the east line of White <br />Avenue and the North line of 12th Street, said point <br />also being the Southwest corner of Lot 9, Block 1, <br />Boggs and Hill's Addition; thence proceeding in a <br />southerly direction along an extension of the east line <br />of White Avenue for a distance of 2S feet; thence <br />deflecting right in a westerly direction 25 feet from <br />and parallel to the North line of 12th Street for a <br />distance of SO feet; thence deflecting right in a <br />northerly direction along an extension of the West line <br />of White Avenue for a distance 'of 2S feet; thence <br /> <br />l\i'I;_;'U~~ I U f(JfCM <br /> <br />',; <br /> <br />JUN 1 ~ 19&8 <br /> <br />LEGAL DEPARTMENT <br />
