200609068 RESOLUTION #06- ~::> A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE SALE OF REAL ESTATE TO THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTING A CO-LOCATED CITY/COUNTY SAFTEY CENTER WHEREAS, the County of Hall and the City of Grand Island have entered into an interlocal agreement for the co-located City/County safety center which sets forth the agreements between the City and the County regarding the construction and use of the safety center; and WHEREAS, it is anticipated by said agreement that the safety center will be financed by the City and constructed by the City on the property described as Lot One (1), Luzenac Fourth Subdivision, Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska; and WHEREAS, the County of Hall presently owns the aforesaid property and desires to transfer ownership of the property to the City to effectuate the construction of the safety center; and WHEREAS, the City has tendered a proposal for the purchase of the same from the County of Hall for the sum of one dollar and other good and valuable consideration as set for the in the Interlocal Agreement; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the County to convey said real estate to the City as provided for in Nebraska Revised Statutes Section 23-104; and WHEREAS, the County specifically finds that this property is not surplus property as defined in Nebraska Revised Statutes Section 23-107.01. NOW BE IT RESOLVED, it is in the best interests of the County of Hall to transfer the property described as Lot One (1) Luzenac Fourth Subdivision, Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska to the City of Grand Island to effectuate the construction of a co-located City/County safety center; and NOW BE IT RESOL YED, that the aforedescribed property is not surplus property as defined in Nebraska Revised Statutes Section 23-107.01; and NOW BE IT RESOLVED, the sale of the aforedescribed property for the sale price of one dollar and other good and valuable consideration to the City of Grand Island is hereby approved. The County Board Chairman is hereby directed to execute the attached warranty deed in the name of and on behalf of the County of Hall and such other documents as may be necessary to the purchase, subject to approval as to form and content by the Hall County Attorney or his deputy.
