<br />200609068 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #06- ~::> <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE SALE OF REAL ESTATE TO THE CITY OF GRAND <br />ISLAND FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTING A CO-LOCATED CITY/COUNTY SAFTEY <br />CENTER <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County of Hall and the City of Grand Island have entered into an interlocal <br />agreement for the co-located City/County safety center which sets forth the agreements between the City and <br />the County regarding the construction and use of the safety center; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is anticipated by said agreement that the safety center will be financed by the City and <br />constructed by the City on the property described as Lot One (1), Luzenac Fourth Subdivision, Grand Island, <br />Hall County, Nebraska; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County of Hall presently owns the aforesaid property and desires to transfer <br />ownership of the property to the City to effectuate the construction of the safety center; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City has tendered a proposal for the purchase of the same from the County of Hall for <br />the sum of one dollar and other good and valuable consideration as set for the in the Interlocal Agreement; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the County to convey said real estate to the City as provided <br />for in Nebraska Revised Statutes Section 23-104; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County specifically finds that this property is not surplus property as defined in <br />Nebraska Revised Statutes Section 23-107.01. <br /> <br />NOW BE IT RESOLVED, it is in the best interests of the County of Hall to transfer the property <br />described as Lot One (1) Luzenac Fourth Subdivision, Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska to the City of <br />Grand Island to effectuate the construction of a co-located City/County safety center; and <br /> <br />NOW BE IT RESOL YED, that the aforedescribed property is not surplus property as defined in <br />Nebraska Revised Statutes Section 23-107.01; and <br /> <br />NOW BE IT RESOLVED, the sale of the aforedescribed property for the sale price of one dollar and <br />other good and valuable consideration to the City of Grand Island is hereby approved.
