PAUL'S LUTHERAN CHURCH, a Nebraska corporation ("Borrower"), whose <br />address is 1515 South Harrison, Grand Island, Nebraska 68803-6358, and THRIVENT <br />FINANCIAL FOR LUTHERANS, a Wisconsin corporation ("Thrivent Financial"), formerly <br />known as AID ASSOCIATION FOR LUTHERANS ("AAL"), whose address is 625 Fourth <br />Avenue South, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55415. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Borrower executed and delivered to AAL that certain Promissory Note dated <br />April 5, 2002 ("Note"), as evidence of an indebtedness in the original principal amount of Eight <br />Hundred Thousand and Noll 00 Dollars ($800,000.00). <br /> <br />WHEREAS, to secure the repayment ofthe Note, Borrower executed and delivered to AAL <br />that certain Mortgage dated April 5, 2002 and recorded in the office ofthe Register of Deeds in and <br />for Hall County, Nebraska, on April 19, 2002, as Instrument No. 0200204303 ("Mortgage"), <br />covering certain real property and improvements located in Hall County, Nebraska, as described in <br />the Mortgage and on Exhibit A attached hereto ("Property"). <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Note was modified by a First Allonge to Promissory effective April 1, <br />2003 ("First Allonge"). <br /> <br />WHEREAS, effective May 21, 2002, AAL amended its Articles of Incorporation to <br />change its name to Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.
