200502508 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 8963 (Cont.) <br />Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska; thence easterly along the northerly line of <br />the said Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4), a distance of two thousand four hundred <br />forty two and eighty nine hundredths (2,442.89) feet to a point one hundred eighty <br />four (184.0) feet west of the northeast corner of the said Southwest Quarter (SW <br />1/4); thence southerly and parallel with the easterly line of said Southwest Quarter <br />(SW 1/4), a distance of one hundred (100.0) feet; thence westerly on a line that is <br />parallel with and offset southerly one hundred (100.0) feet from the southerly <br />right -of -way line of Faidley Avenue, a distance of two thousand three hundred <br />thirteen and twenty five hundredths (2,313.25) feet, to a point two hundred forty <br />six (246.0) feet easterly of the westerly line of the said Southwest Quarter (SW <br />1/4); thence southerly and parallel with the westerly line of said Southwest <br />Quarter (SW 1/4), a distance of one thousand six hundred nine and thirty eight <br />(1,609.38) feet, to a point four hundred thirty three (433.0) feet north of the <br />southerly line of the said Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4); thence westerly and <br />parallel with the southerly line of said Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4), a distance of <br />two hundred eighty six (286.0) feet, to a point on the westerly right -of -way line of <br />North Road; thence northerly along the westerly right-of-way line of said North <br />Road, a distance of two thousand two hundred twenty two and three hundredths <br />(2,222.03) feet; thence easterly a distance of forty (40.0) feet to the said Point of <br />Beginning, as shown on the plat dated March 7, 2005, attached hereto and <br />incorporated herein by this reference. <br />SECTION 3. Said improvement shall be made in accordance with plans and <br />specifications approved by the Engineer for the City, who shall estimate the cost thereof. Bids <br />for the construction of said water main shall be taken and contracts entered into in the manner <br />provided by law. <br />SECTION 4. The cost of construction of such water main connection district <br />shall be reported to the City Council, and the Council, sitting as a Board of Equalization, shall <br />determine benefits to abutting property by reason of such improvement pursuant to Section 16- <br />6,103, R.R.S. 1943. The special benefits shall not be levied as special assessments but shall be <br />certified by resolution of the City Council to the Hall County Register of Deeds. A connection <br />fee in the amount of the special benefit accruing to each property in the district shall be paid to <br />the City of Grand Island at such time as such property becomes connected to the water main in <br />-2- <br />
