<br /> and extend any existing contracts for additional periods of time.
<br /> 13 . TO APPOINT GUARDIAN AND CONSERVATOR. To nominate a
<br /> guardian for my person and a conservator for my estate if
<br /> protective proceedings are commenced for me, and in this regard:
<br /> to nominate one or more of my attorneys, or such other person or
<br /> corporation, as my attorney deems appropriate, as my guardian or
<br /> conservator; to waive, on my behalf, the requirement of the
<br /> giving of any bond by my guardian or conservator, or both; and to
<br /> commence protective proceedings for me.
<br /> 14 . TO REPRESENT IN ALL TAX MATTERS. To represent me in
<br /> all tax matters; to prepare, sign, and file Federal, state,
<br /> and/or local income, gift and other tax returns of all kinds,
<br /> including, where appropriate, joint returns, FICA returns,
<br /> payroll tax returns, claims for refunds, requests for extensions
<br /> of time to file returns, and/or pay taxes, extensions and waivers
<br /> of applicable periods of limitation, protests and petitions to
<br /> administrative agencies or courts, including the Tax Court,
<br /> regarding tax matters, and any and all other tax related
<br /> documents.
<br /> 15. TO DO ALL OTHER THINGS NECESSARY IN CONNECTION
<br /> HEREWITH. In general to do all other acts, deeds, matters, and
<br /> things whatsoever in or about my estate, property, and affairs,
<br /> or to concur with persons jointly interested with myself therein
<br /> in doing all acts, deeds, matters, and things herein, either
<br /> particularly or generally described, as fully and effectually to
<br /> all intents and purposes as I could do in my own proper person if
<br /> personally present, it being my intent to grant to my said
<br /> attorney a general power to act for me and in my behalf, and not
<br /> a limited or special power, limited to the specific acts herein
<br /> described.
<br /> 16. POWER OF ATTORNEY EFFECTIVE NOTWITHSTANDING DISABILITY
<br /> OR INCAPACITY OF PRINCIPAL• CONTINUES IN EFFECT AFTER PRINCIPAL'S
<br /> DEATH UNTIL NOTICE. Pursuant to the provisions of the Nebraska
<br /> Uniform Durable Power of Attorney Act, I declare that this power
<br /> of attorney is effective immediately and shall not be affected by
<br /> my disability or incapacity, and that the authority granted
<br /> herein shall continue during any period while I am disabled or
<br /> incapacitated. Further, pursuant to said act, all such authority
<br /> shall continue after my death, until notice of such death shall
<br /> have been received by my attorney so that he or she has actual
<br /> knowledge of the fact that I have died. Any action taken in good
<br /> faith by said attorney during any period while it is uncertain
<br /> whether I am alive, before he or she receives actual knowledge of
<br /> my death, or, in any event, taken during any period while I am
<br /> disabled or incapacitated, shall be as valid as if I were alive,
<br /> competent, and not disabled.
