INST 70?b 035114 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2026-220 <br />CASH <br />CHECK \ OP° <br />REFUNDS: <br />CASH <br />CHECK <br />RECURDED <br />HALL Ot U TY NE <br />101bJUN —3 AII: 12 <br />'NOD <br />REGISTER OF DEEDS <br />aGG <br />A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE STRUCTURE AT LOTS THIRTEEN (13), FOURTEEN <br />(14), FIFTEEN (15), SIXTEEN (16, SEVENTEEN (17) BLOCK ONE (1), CLARKS <br />ADDITION, WOOD RIVER, NEBRASKA, TO BE AN UNSAFE BUILDING PROHIBITED <br />UNDER THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF WOOD RIVER, NEBRASKA. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the City of <br />Wood River, Nebraska that the structure located at 308 Eighth St. W., listed as Parcel <br />400178265, Wood River, Nebraska, is declared an unsafe building as defined by Section 9-401 <br />of the Code of Ordinances of Wood River, Nebraska (the "Code") because the structure is (a) <br />dangerous to the public health because of its condition, and which may cause or aid in the spread <br />of disease or injury to the health of the occupants of either or neighboring structures; (b) <br />especially liable to fire and constitutes or creates a fire hazard because of faulty construction, <br />age, lack of proper repair, or any other cause; (c) liable to cause injury or damage by the collapse <br />or fall of all or any part of such structure, by reason of faulty construction or any other cause. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the structure in question is located on the property <br />commonly known as 308 W 8th St., assigned Parcel 400178265, and legally described as follows: <br />Lot Thirteen (13), Lot Fourteen (14), Lot Fifteen (15), Lot Sixteen (16), <br />Seventeen (17), Block One (1), Clarks Addition, City of Wood River, Hall <br />County, Nebraska. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that pursuant to Section 9-402 of the Code, it is unlawful <br />to maintain or permit the existence of any unsafe building within the City; and it is unlawful for <br />the owner, occupant, or person in custody of any unsafe building to permit the same to remain in <br />an unsafe condition or to occupying such building or permit it to be occupied while it is in an <br />unsafe condition. <br />BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that, as provided in Section 9-403 of the Code, the City <br />Clerk is directed to post the structure as unsafe accordingly, to file a copy of this Resolution in <br />the office of the Hall County Register of Deeds to be recorded, and to serve written notice of this <br />determination upon the owner of the property, and upon any occupants of the structure in <br />question, by certified mail or personal service. <br />PASSED AND APPROVED this 2nd day of June <br />
