20260038E <br />Any handholds, vaults or manholes placed in the sidewalk shall match the existing <br />slopes of the sidewalk and shall not create a tripping hazard for pedestrians. <br />Any sidewalk removals & replacements shall be approved by the City of Grand Island <br />prior to removal. Restoration of sidewalk shall be done within 5 days of removal and <br />shall be inspected by the City of Grand Island Public Works Department. <br />Any street or sidewalk closures require a 72-hour notice to the City of Grand Island <br />Public Works Department at 308-385-5444. <br />Contractor will be required to request a locate before any physical work is to take place. <br />Locate flags shall be removed after the "excavator" has determined the work is <br />complete. <br />All ROW shall be restored to the same condition as prior to the work taking place which <br />includes but is not limited to placement of top soil & seeding at excavated areas within <br />green space and repairing washouts or ruts from construction, seeding disturbed earth, <br />and seeding & erosion control on sloped banks after disturbed. <br />A ROW inspection shall be completed once work is done. Contact the Grand Island <br />Streets Division at 308-385-5322 to request an inspection. <br />Where CROSSING SIGNAL INFRASTRUCTURE <br />Conduit shall not be placed between the City's traffic signal cabinet and connecting <br />traffic signal conduit/poles. Conduit must be offset a minimum of 5' from the base of any <br />traffic signal cabinet, traffic signal pole, or traffic signal pull box. <br />IF SIGNAL CONDUIT/WIRE HAS TO BE CROSSED THE NEW LINE SHALL BE A <br />MINIMUM OF 6' DEEP WHERE CROSSING AND THE EXSTING SIGNAL CONDUIT <br />SHALL BE POTHOLED AND VERIFIED ON -SITE PRIOR TO BORING. <br />
