202503724 <br />1 <br />RESOLUTION 2025-194 <br />WHEREAS know all men by these presents, Elias Terrazas and Karina Terra mg, <br />husband and wife, a joint tenants, being the owner of land described hereon, have caused same to be <br />surveyed, subdivided, platted and designated as "TERRAZAS SUBDIVISION", A Subdivision <br />being all of Lot Ten (10), Franks P. Bark's Subdivision and the northerly 33 feet of vacated 7th Street <br />adjacent to said Lot Ten (10), City of Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska. <br />WHEREAS, a previous council to action with the passage of Ordinance #5600, #5605 <br />all of which dealt with property contained within or adjacent to Lot 10 of Frank P. Bark's <br />Subdivision on April 22, 1974, and <br />WHEREAS, there is no record of the approved actions taking place at that time and <br />any exchange of deeds to that effect. As a result, the Parties are engaging in this effort to ratify the <br />intended actions of the City Council in 1974; and <br />WHEREAS, the above owners are dedicating the required 16.5 feet of right -of- way <br />on the south side of the platted Chicago Street and wish to obtain the 33 feet of vacated 7th Street on <br />the south side of Lot 10 of Frank P. Bark's Subdivision as previously authorized; and <br />WHEREAS, this exchange was and is still in the best interest of the public; and <br />WHEREAS, a copy of the plat of such subdivision has been presented to the Boards <br />of Education of the various school districts in Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska, as required by <br />Section Nebraska Revised Statute 19-923; and <br />WHEREAS, a form of subdivision agreement has been agreed to between the owner <br />of the property and the City of Grand Island. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the form of subdivision agreement herein <br />before described is hereby approved, and the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute such agreement <br />and other related documents on behalf of the City of Grand Island. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the final plat of 1'ERRAZAZ SUBDIVISION, as <br />made out, acknowledged, and certified, is hereby approved by the City Council of the City of Grand <br />Island, Nebraska, and the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the approval and acceptance of such <br />plat by the City of Grand Island, Nebraska. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Grand Island, Nebraska, June 24, 2025. <br />�Qa�.cf��J�-end <br />Rog .`r.
