Grand Island Notes for PON 17B:
i. In the trench details for the alleys, our width will be 18-24 inches, with a depth of 2-4 feet. If boring is an option, we will go
that route. Should be able to bore across streets, if not will discuss with the city at that time.
2. For concrete replacement, will use 47B modified to the city of Grand Island's specifications. Will use a contractor that has
worked with the city for this step of the process. I have already reached out to Diamond Engineering and will be reaching out to
Galvan Construction as well.
3. During concrete replacement, if current concrete is less than 8 inches of depth will replace concrete an inch thicker than
current. Example, current is 6 inches thick, will replace at 7 inches thick.
4. Compaction to be done via water jetting and vibration.
s. Allo would like to work with the city during trenching process to get any depths/paths recorded of existing utilities while
trench is open.
6. During this process would recommend a weekly meeting with any city officials to discuss scope of project and any issues
that come up.
7. The City would require that no more than 3 alleys are closed at one time, and the closure for each shall be
two weeks or less.
669L.0t606
