1 <br />1 <br />202300170 <br />RESOLUTION 2023-6 <br />WHEREAS, the owner of real property located at 2002 Nelson Lane has offered to <br />transfer ownership to the City for the purpose of providing public access from the north to the <br />Orchard Subdivision, such real property being further described as follows: <br />The Orchard, LLC- Parcel No. 400059893 <br />ALL OF LOT FOURTEEN (14), LASSONDE THIRD SUBDIVISION, CITY OF GRAND <br />ISLAND, HALL COUNTY, NEBRASKA. <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing on the acquisition and dedication of this property for <br />public right of way was held on January 10, 2023 and the City Council has considered any testimony <br />presented at the public hearing; and <br />WHEREAS, the warranty deed for Parcel No. 400059893 transferring title and <br />dedicating the land as public right-of-way has been reviewed and approved by the City Legal <br />Department. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the City of Grand Island be, and hereby is, <br />authorized to enter into the Agreement for the public right-of-way on the above described tract of <br />land. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to <br />to take all actions necessary to effect the purpose of this resolution. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Grand Island, Nebraska, January 10, 2023. <br />Attest: <br />t <br />RaNae Edwards, City Clerk <br />er G.
