Personnel Committee discussed possible Christmas bonuses to full time employees, the board all agreed that increasing the bonuses by $50 would be suitable; J Johnson made the motion to give the four full time employees a $350 Christmas bonus; Dibbern seconded this motion. The topic of part time Christmas bonuses was discussed, it was agreed to give part time employees an increase of $25, this would include Diana Korinek and Jayne Reimers, making their Christmas bonus $225. This was approved on motion made by J Johnson, seconded by Dibbern. Marlin Schweitzer will get a Christmas bonus of $100 as well. Ayes: Dibbern, M Johnson, J Johnson, Sorensen, and Bellamy. Nays: None. Clerk Rathman noted that there was close to 300 kiddos who attended the downtown trick or treat event on October 29th. Auditions were held last Sunday for the holiday production of The Nutcracker Suite, 30 kiddos showed up and participated and will have practices every Sunday in November from 3-5 pm at the Cairo Community Center with a performance date of Saturday, December 4th at 3 pm. Christmas in the Village will be Monday, December 6th from 5-7 pm with a live nativity and community caroling following up at the community center, weather permitting we will carol outside! The board's help will be needed with cleanup. Deputy Clerk Osburn shared that the kitchen remodel at The Gathering Place is moving right along, the awning in the back needs fixed as soon as possible. The Gathering Place is also in need of a new water heater, she will look into rebates with Southern Power. Breakfast with Santa will be held on Saturday, December 4th from 9-11, music will be provided by Tim Mohanna and possibly another band as well. On December 1st she will go to small claims court to deal with a residents' delinquent utility bill. With there being no further business to come before the board the meeting was adjourned at 8:07 pm on motion from M Johnson, seconded by Bellamy.
