The correspondence outlined that ground water from the well presently servicing <br />the house is now contaminated or may become contaminated in the future. The owner was also <br />notified of the potential liability for resulting health problems for his family, visitors, or renters. Also <br />outlined was the possible difficulty in selling the home in future without having it connected to the <br />public t4r+rlking water system. This is both because of the potential buyer's concerns and because of <br />laws which do not allow FHA or VA loans to properties without safe drinking water. It was brought <br />to the owner's attention that he may choose to connect to the public water main in the future at his <br />expense. However, that expense may include dewatering which in itself may cost snore than the cot <br />of water service to the house. <br />Letters were mailed on January 16, 1990, and July 25, 1990, by regular.
