1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />201902555 <br />RESOLUTION 2019-89 <br />WHEREAS, the Nebraska Department of Transportation is preparing plans for <br />improvements to US Highway 30 bridges at the junction of US Highway 30 and US Highway 281 /North 2 <br />and from the intersection of US Highway 30 and Old Lincoln Highway east to the intersection of US <br />Highway 30 and Grant Street, with the City cost sharing on the portion within City limits; and <br />WHEREAS, the Nebraska Department of "Transportation is working to acquire right-of-way <br />and temporary easement to accommodate such project; and <br />WHEREAS, Acquisition Contracts and related documents have been reviewed and <br />approved by the City Attorney's office for this purpose. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the Acquisition Contracts by and between the City of <br />Grand Island and Nebraska Department of Transportation for the state to acquire right-of-way and <br />temporary easement to accommodate improvements to US f-Iighway 30 bridges at the junction of US <br />Highway 30 and US Highway 281 /North 2 and from the intersection of US Highway 30 and Old Lincoln <br />Highway east to the intersection of US Highway 30 and Grant Street is hereby approved. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute <br />such contracts and related documents on behalf of the City of Grand Island. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Grand Island, Nebraska, March 12, 2019. <br />Attest: <br />cx,2_ Y_Ac) czo, <br />RaNae Edwards, City Clerk <br />Roger Steele, Mayor <br />
