200007:07 COPY ORDINANCE NO. __42j An Ordinance of the City of Wood River, Nebraska, providing for assessment of the cost of improvements for Street Improvement a Districts 98 -1; 98 -2; 98 -3; 99 -1 and for Water Improvement District 98 -1 and Sanitary Improvement District 98 -1; to provide for assessment of the cost of said improvements against the property in said Districts especially benefitted thereby in proportion to said benefits; providing for the levy of special assessments and taxes to pay for said improvements; providing for the repealing of all Ordinances in conflict herewith; and providing the time when this Ordinance shall take effect. WHEREAS, the Wood River City Council did on the 16th day of November, 1999, hold a public hearing in the Wood River City Hall after publication of the Notice in The Wood River Sunbeam as required by law; and WHEREAS, after holding said public hearing to determine the special benefits arising as a result of the improvements on the above - described Street Improvement Districts; and WHEREAS, after the Mayor and members of the City Council heard all persons who desired to be heard in reference to the valuation of each lot to be assessed and the special benefits for damages thereto and after having considered the advice of the engineers in charge of the construction and improvements, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WOOD RIVER, NEBRASKA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council finds and determines that the cost of street improvements constructed in Street Improvement Districts as hereinafter set forth and the cost of the water improvements and sanitary sewer improvements in the Districts hereinafter set forth are as follows: District Name & No. Cost Street Improvement District 98 -1 $225,548.47 Street Improvement District 98 -2 16,317.14 Street Improvement District 98 -3 14,126.49 Street Improvement District 99 -1 30,569.76 Water Improvement District 98 -1 58,078.58 Sanitary Sewer Improvement District 98 -1 138,147.83. The City Council of the City of Wood River further finds and determines as 'a result of said public hearing that no lot or parcel of land in the above - described Street Improvement Districts, Water Improvement Districts or Sanitary Sewer Improvement District have been damaged by the construction of said improvements, that the amount of benefits specially accruing to each lot and parcel of land in said Districts by reason of the construction of the street improvements, water improvements and sanitary sewer improvements
