4.0 WORK PLAN
South Abutment
Given the information attained in. section 3of this plan the only alternative for driving pile is to
use an impact hammer for the South abutment. The current plan involves the South abutment
placed at a minimum of 5linear foot North of the existing 12 inch water main. We may be able to
push it a few feet further North but we will use 5 linear feet as a minimum.
The H -Pile will be drilled and or jetted in for the first 20 lineal feet before pile driving begins.
This will give us enough "driving" to establish the required bearing.
201800874
The Sheet pile will need to be dug in and a static force applied for seating of the sheets as they
will end up with a piling toe depth 7 lineal foot below the existing 12" water main not allowing
for active pile driving to occur.
North Abutment
The North abutment will be driven with the vibratory hammer for both the sheet piing and the
H -Pile the vibratory hammer falls well below the acceptable criteria at this distance.
Note:
* *Grand Island Utility Department to be notified 72 Hours prior to any Piling Work.
MA 16N!•At
:tits oc.9xit }t
 ti w
7
