<br /> ��I. Hazar�dvusSubstances.As used in this Section 21: (a} "Hazardou.��Suh.sta►�ce.s"are thos�s�bstances
<br /> defined as toxie or hazardous subst�nce�,pollutants, or wastes by Environmental Law ar�d the fol�owing
<br /> substances:gasoline,kerasene,other flammable or toxic petroleum pr�ducts,toxic pcsticides an�1 herbicides,
<br /> volatile so�v�nts, ma�erials conta.ining a�bestos or formaldehyde, and radioacti�e materia�s; (b�
<br /> „�'nvirnnnzental Law"means federa�laws and latvs of the jurisdiction where the Property is located that
<br /> relate to health, saf�ty or environmental protectian; �c) "Er�viro�rnen�dl Clear�u�n"includ�s any resp�nse
<br /> action, rem�dial action, or removal action, as def ned�n Envzronmental Law; and(d}an "E�virort►ne�tal
<br /> Co�ditio�"m�ans a condition that caa cause,contribute to, or otherwise trigger an En�ironmenta.�Cleanup.
<br /> Barrawer shal�not cause or permit the presence,use,disposal, storage,or release af any Hazardous
<br /> �ubsta�ces,ar threaten to release any Hazardous Substances,on or in the Property, Borrower shall nox do,
<br /> nor a11ow any�ne else to do, any�hing affecting the Property(a}that is in��olation of any Environmen�a�
<br /> Law, (b)which creates an En�ironmenta.l Condition,or(c)�vhich,due�o the presence,use, or release of a
<br /> Hazardous 5ubstance,creates a condition that adversely affects�he value of the Property.The preceding two
<br /> s�ntences shall not apply to the presence,use,or storage on the Property of smail quanti��es of Hazardou�
<br /> Substan�es tha�are generally recogni2ed to be appropriate to normal residential uses and ta maintenance af
<br /> the Property�including,but not limited to,hazardous substances in c�n.surn�r products).
<br /> Barrawer shall promptly give Lender wr��ten notice af(a)any in�estigation,claim,demand, lawsui�or o�her
<br /> actian by any gavcmmcntal or re�ulatory agency or privat�party invo���ng the Property and any Ha�ardous
<br /> Subs�ance ar Environmenta�Law of which Borrawer has actual knowledge,(b}any Environmenta.l
<br /> Condition, including but not�imited to,any spilling, leaking,discharge,release or threat of relea�e of any
<br /> Hazardous Substan�e,and(c}any conditian caused by the presenc�,use or release af a Hazardous Substance
<br /> which adversely affects the value of the Property. If Borrnwer lcarns,or is notif�d by any go�ernrn�n�al or
<br /> regulatory authority,or any pri�at�party,that any removal�r other remediation of any Hazardous Substance
<br /> affecting the Property is necessary, Borrower sha�l pramptly take all necessary remedial actions in
<br /> accordance�vith Environmental La�r.Nothing herein sha�l creat�any ab�igation an Lender for an
<br /> En�ironmeatal Cieanup,
<br /> Non-Unifofm Coyenants.Borrower and Lender ca�enant and agree as fo�Iows:
