The city Utilities Department will advertise the <br />work for bids, administer the contract, make all contractor payments, and prepare the special <br />assessment schedule. The city Utilities Department shall be paid four percent (4 %) of the total <br />contract amount for providing their services. <br />4. Sanitary Sewer. The Subdivider agrees to petition the City for creation of <br />a sanitary sewer district to extend, connect and provide sanitary sewer service to the subdivision, and <br />to pay all special assessments levied in connection with said district. The Subdivider agrees to hire <br />a professional engineer to prepare construction plans and specifications, and to provide construction <br />staking and inspection services, to certify all work has been done in accordance with plans and <br />specifications approved by the Director of Public Works. The Subdivider agrees to construct a private storm water <br />sewer system in accordance with plans and specifications approved by the Director of Public Works, <br />and grade the subdivision in conjunction with the developments proposed thereon so that storm <br />drainage is conveyed to a public right -of -way or to other drainage systems so approved by the <br />Director of Public Works. The storm sewer system shall be privately owned and maintained by the <br />Subdivider. <br />6. Sidewalks. The Subdivider shall install all public sidewalks required by the <br />City of Grand Island when the lots are built upon, and such sidewalk shall be regulated and required <br />with the building permit for each such lot. <br />-3- <br />
