The city Utilities Department will advertise the work for bids, administer the contract, make all contractor payments, and prepare the special assessment schedule. The city Utilities Department shall be paid four percent (4 %) of the total contract amount for providing their services. 4. Sanitary Sewer. The Subdivider agrees to petition the City for creation of a sanitary sewer district to extend, connect and provide sanitary sewer service to the subdivision, and to pay all special assessments levied in connection with said district. The Subdivider agrees to hire a professional engineer to prepare construction plans and specifications, and to provide construction staking and inspection services, to certify all work has been done in accordance with plans and specifications approved by the Director of Public Works. The Subdivider agrees to construct a private storm water sewer system in accordance with plans and specifications approved by the Director of Public Works, and grade the subdivision in conjunction with the developments proposed thereon so that storm drainage is conveyed to a public right -of -way or to other drainage systems so approved by the Director of Public Works. The storm sewer system shall be privately owned and maintained by the Subdivider. 6. Sidewalks. The Subdivider shall install all public sidewalks required by the City of Grand Island when the lots are built upon, and such sidewalk shall be regulated and required with the building permit for each such lot. -3-
