5.9 Trash Containers and Collection. <br />20503252 <br />Declarant and Association reserve the right to provide or subcontract for garbage pickup. <br />In the event that Declarant or the Association provide or subcontract for garbage pickup, each <br />Owner agrees to contract with the Declarant or Association, or its designated subcontractor, for <br />his or her own garbage pickup. Garbage must be picked up a minimum of once per week at the <br />Owner's expense. All refuse, papers, and garbage bags shall be stored in proper refuse containers <br />between garbage pickup days. If refuse containers are provided by the contractor providing <br />refuse collection, such containers shall be the only ones used for refuse disposal. Garbage shall <br />be placed at curbside no sooner than the evening prior to the designated pickup day. Refuse <br />containers or recycling bins shall be kept in the garage and not visible on the street. Except as <br />specifically provided herein, refuse piles or other unsightly objects or materials shall not be <br />placed upon the Property. All receptacles or other equipment for the storage or disposal of <br />refuse materials shall be kept in a clean and sanitary condition. No Lot, easement, or Common <br />Area shall be used or maintained as a dumping ground for rubbish. Trash, garbage, grass <br />clippings, and other waste shall be disposed of in a sanitary manner and shall not be burned in <br />incinerators, barbecues, barbecue pits, or otherwise. <br />5.10 Utility Service. <br />No lines, wires, or other devices for the communication or transmission of electric <br />current or power, including telephone, television, or radio signals, shall be erected, placed, or <br />maintained anywhere in or upon any Lot unless the same shall be contained in conduits or cables <br />installed and maintained underground or concealed in, under, or on buildings or other structures <br />as approved by the DRC. No provision of this Declaration shall be deemed to forbid the erection <br />of temporary power or telephone structures incident to the construction of buildings or structures <br />approved by the DRC. <br />5.11 Clothes Drying Facilities. <br />Clotheslines that are collapsible or umbrella type clotheslines are permissible. All such <br />clotheslines will be stored at the rear of the Lot in a location that is not visible from the street. <br />Laundry hung from clotheslines shall be removed as quickly as possible but no more than 24 <br />hours from placement. <br />5.12 Animals. <br />House pets (defined as cats or dogs) are permitted to be kept by the Owners or Residents, <br />provided they are maintained and controlled by the pet owner and are not raised, bred, kept, or <br />maintained for any commercial purpose. No farm animals, livestock, poultry, or vicious or <br />dangerous animals shall be allowed. All pets shall wear an identification collar and rabies tags. <br />Pets must stay in their own yards and shall not be left outside unattended. Pets must be kept on a <br />leash at all times when not on the Owner's or Resident's Lot. Pet owners shall deter their pets <br />from barking or making loud noises and shall be responsible for any barking or any other noise <br />that constitutes a nuisance. No dog house shall be erected or placed on any Lot. A dog house <br />must be integrated in an ancillary structure (storage shed) on the Lot. Damage to any Lot caused <br />by pets shall be repaired immediately by the pet owner at the pet owner's expense.
