<br /> �'�. Hazardous Sub�tan�es. As used in this 5ection 21: �a} "Hazardous Substances" are those
<br /> substances defined as toxic or ha.2ardous substance�,pollutants,or vvastes b�Environmental Law and
<br /> the follawing substances:�aso�ine,kerosene,other flammable�r toxic petroleum produ�ts,toxic pesticides
<br /> and herbicides,vo�atile sol�ents,materials conta.ining asbestos�r forma�deh�de,and radi�active materials;
<br /> �b} "En�ironmental Law"means federa,l.laws and Iaws of the jurisdi�tion where the Proper�is�ocated
<br /> that rela#e to health,saf�ty or envir�nmental prote�t�on;�c} "Environmental �leanup" include s any
<br /> response action,rem�dial action,or removal action, as defined in En�ir�nmenta�Law;and�d}an
<br /> "Environmental �ondit�on"means a cond�tion that can cause,contribute to,�r otherv�ise tri�ger an
<br /> Enviranmental Cleanup.
<br /> Borrovver shall not cau�e or permit the presence,use,disposal, storag�,or re�ease of any Ha.zard�us
<br /> Substances,or threaten t�release any Hazardous S��stances,an or in the Froperty. Borrovver sha11 nat
<br /> da,nor a1low anyone els�to do,anything affe�ting the Prop�rty�a}that is in violation of any Environmenta.�
<br /> Law,�b}which creates ar�Envir�nmenta.l Cond�tion,or�c}which,due to the presence,use,�r r�lease of
<br /> a Hazardaus Substax��e,creates a conditi�n that adversely affects the value of the Property.The pr��eding
<br /> tvvo senten�es shall not apply ta the presence,use,or storage�n the Propert��f small quantities vf
<br /> Hazardous Substan�es that are�enerally re�ognized to be appropriate ta norma,l residential uses ar�d ta
<br /> ma�ntenance of the Propert��including,hut not limited to,hazardous substances in c�nsumer products}.
<br /> Borrower sha11 promptly give Lender vvritten notic�of�a} any investigation,�1a,im,demar�d,lavvsuit ar
<br /> other action by any governmental�r regulat�ry agency or pri�ate party involving the Property an�any
<br /> Hazardous Substance or Environmental Law of�vhich Borrower has actual kno�l�dg�,�b}an�
<br /> Environmenta.l Candition,including hut nat limited to,any spill�ng,leal�ing,discharg�,release ar threat
<br /> of release of an�Hazaxdous Substance,and�c}any candition�aused by the presence,use or release af
<br /> a Hazardous 5ubstan�e which adversely a�fects the value of the Property.If B�rrovver learns,or is notified
<br /> by any go�ernmenta.l or regulatory authority,or any private party,that any removal�r other remediat�on
<br /> of any Hazard�us Substar�ce affectin�the Property is necessa,�,Borr�wer shall promptly take a1�ne�essary
<br /> remedial actaons in a�corda.nc�v�ith En�ir�nmenta�Law.Nothing herein sha11 create an�obligatinn�n
<br /> L�nder for ar�En�ironmental�leanup.
